Hard tie between Need for Speed: Carbon, Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Midnight Club 3 DUB Edition Remix, and any Ratchet and Clank.
I gotta say Dark Cloud 2. Then again, Graffiti Kingdom was pretty cool, and Shadow of the Colossus was refreshingly unique.
Then again, so was Katamari.

It's not about the destination.
It's about the journey.
It's fucking impossible to choose! If I got to choose only 1 stand alone game I'll have to go with Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. But both the Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter and Sly series are so awesome! Also Star Wars Battlefront 2 is way up there!

The perfect Metal Gear game next to Solid 1. It's long, realistic (Sortof), has a great plot, and an equal balance of cutscene and gameplay.

It's very hard for me to choose between these.
