I was wondering if it was possible to import a video into flash and then put it in your timeline so you can see it play and are able to draw on it. I guess this can be done with a gif sequence, but that would be a lot of images to import and deal with.

Yea just go to import and click on import video.

every format I try to import it as won't let me see the video playing on the actual timeline. Anyway I can have images in there without having to test the scene each time I have to see if the animation fits correctly?

I remember seeing a tutorial video a long time ago of someone drawing stick figures on top of either a movie or something else, anyone know where I can find it?
