Animator Needed For Gash/zatch Bell 2010-10-18 00:42:56 Reply

Hello, My name is David Stenstrom, and I currently do a dub of the Gash/Zatch Bell series, you see, due to Viz's overcensorship of the show leading to it's low success rates, the japanese end suffered as well thus making them unable to animate the last chapters of the manga, therefore, I need someone who can animate these manga chapters given my script dictation, I will provide BGM and SFX where necessary, but at the very least as well I would need someone who could at least COLOR the chapters. Anyways, I'm posting this now because I know it will take a great deal of time to do and we still have a great deal of time before we get down to it. Anyways, if you are interested on getting in on the ground floor for such a project now is the time, and just to tell you there is a budget of TBD, so ask me now while there is time.

Im still a berginer so i cant really help you, but consider that literally making an anime is not an easy task so u should be patient and more importantly offer some good rewards xD animation is time consuming and ur project is big.

Good luck and really hope u get an animator soon.

Alright, as a bump, and more incentive, I can offer anywhere up to $200 Cash sent via mail AFTER I see the completed work, although I'm only offering this because I know that it will take a long time. If I have more money by the time I get the completed project, then I will likely increase that amount.

man... i can draw manga/anime easily (not that crappy american-OEL type, where all the men look like fackin girlz, or is overly-emo), but animating is a complete different story =P

but ill help with bumping this again, hopefully sum1 will offer their help

i do have a few friends that animate, but they do flash animation, and I'm not sure if that's what ur looking for since anime is done the traditional way.
their anime skills aren't bad, but just doesn't compare to mine ;)

well at the very least i'm looking for someone who can at least color them so I can do audio drama, but if you've seen the animated chapters of bleach and naruto that some ppl have done on youtube, I'll be glad to take at least that.

Hmm, little confused haha.
Sorry, I misread your original post. I thought you wanted like authentic anime-style animations.

I never heard of (or saw) an animated manga, care to share a link to one?
(if you mean like the chapters with sound and camera effects, I woulsnt consider that animation, but w.e lol)

I don't think you understand that animating like that would take months of long hard work. Usually when these type of animations are made, they are made with a group of people collaborating together. There is not anyone on Newgrounds that you can hire to do THAT for only 200$.

i do understand this, but right now, i haven't the kind of money to shell out on this right now, and I do know this will take months, that's why I've posted this now, we've only got 5 episodes out on youtube, right now and are planning on dubbing all the undubbed episodes and movies, and redubbing the older episodes, and during that process I hope to not only eventually get more money along the way, but find an animator, or at least someone who can color manga.

I love it when n00bs come on here and post something that took months of hard work to make and expect people to be able to do that in a day and for 10$

Just love it.

hold up now, again, I didn't think it wouldn't take days, I knew it would take at least a year. That's why I'm trying to accomplish this now, while I still have plenty of time to plan it out or figure out a backup plan.

well 200$ is what I could pay currently, in a year or so it will likely be around 500$ possibly more, and this is a project that has never been done before, so getting in on the ground floor of a project like this can lead to a lot of great other things for he who wishes to do so.

oh $500, now thats a deal :D

seriously, if you want such a huge project done, pay up or do it yourself. I seriously doubt you can make someone convinced they should waste a year for almost no money for just another shitty anime type thing.

ya know, you don't HAVE to reply to these posts, I'm not a big hollywood producer, so I don't have shitpiles of money, but this is a damn good idea, and even if I can't get and animator or a colorer, i'll still do radio drama because this project deserved to get finished right.

What I reccomend is getting an animator to do it in his/her OWN style, rather than trying to replicate the originals. Will it piss off a few weebs? Most likely. But it's jsut so much more creative in my eyes, and when the animator is doing something where the style, movements, and script are predetermined; there's no creative control, in turn no fun, in turn not muhc incentive other than money.

...That is unless you get some random weeb that loves drawing anime, then you're set.

wanted: Clueless top notch animator willing to work for a little over a dollar a day
for a period of 12 months in the style of someone else at the behest of a complete stranger
prone to angry reponses should you question his state of mind

get in early to avoid the rush

apparently all you want are posts that praise the living shit out of you until you shit rainbows instead of telling the truth. You came to a forum about animation, not about requests. You get Animator's opinons not Fan boys opinions, do you see why you're getting such a negative response now? You have no idea how many times I've heard the phrase, this is a damn good idea in a thread like this, its nearing the thousands. In truth its always shitty, its nothing special, and they ask for too much with little in return. I have no idea how you could ever get someone to spend that much time on an animation without even thinking "I wonder how this animator feels being a complete tool to my power?" This isn't about you not having the money, this isn't about anime, this is the request itself; don't ask stuff like this. You really have a better chance learning to animate and finishing the project yourself.

Thats my dollar twenty-two
