Ah, this again. Such a great time of year.

Gotta ask this though, can one nominate their own work? Because that'd be kind of unfair if I nominated one of my works and got $200 for both finding it and making it, right? Kind of defies the point of a treasure hunt...

The Alcyone Incident is a really cool claymation. It is a space western set to an awesome poem about betrayal and revenge. It has never been front paged, and it has less than 10k views.

Could we have a Treasure Hunt for audio submissions? I think there are great audion submissions that need attention too.

All year, clearly. I have them arranged by the month from June08 to June09 and just because it STOPS at June09 doesn't mean that's all I got. If you check my blog you will see that I've been collecting flashes since 2005 and what you see here is only a small part of my posted collection. Only 3 of these flashes have over 10k views. If I had set that limit at, say, 20k views, then this list would be even bigger.

I haven't stopped collecting either. I still add more flashes every month. I simply haven't posted those lists on my blog yet. The tresure hunt is my only real opportunity to showcase my collection, so this contest is a really big deal to me. I used to make smaller posts but I asked how many submissions is too much if I really believed they were all contenders and Tom said post all of them.

I believe that all these flashes are good. They are all contenders, NONE were finalists in previous years. Therefore, this is my list.
