No we won't. You haven't seen the rage of a billion self righteous fatties.
lol, fatties.
I think it's strange that the only measurement they go by is the waist measurement. Wouldn't BMI be a better way to go?

Oh yeah, the CONSTITUTION.
A law like that would be unconstitutional.
You sir are culturally inept. Japan has a constitution too.

That's just terrible, i wouldn't expect that from japan. I know it's not good to be obese or overweight but we can't start making it illegal.

I like how everyone here wants laws that government tells them what to do.
Well we were dumb enough to think it was gonna happen.

Oh come on, that's ridiculous. People should be allowed to do whatever they want with their bodies. Besides, what about all those people with fat fetishes? I'm not at all fat but come on, show a little respect.
What are they going to do, throw a fat guy in jail if he refuses to lose weight?

Okay, BMI.
Hmm, well if such a law is to be passed, any kind of "Fatty food" should be outlawed, cause it only serves to lure people into obesity.
Personally I'd dread it, cause eating would become frightfully boring. I'm not exactly looking forward to eating a dry leaf of salad and call it a meal.

There's no reason to be proud of being fat. You increase your chance of dying from a painful heart attack, diabetes, or worse, getting liposuction from that fat eating monster from that one old SyFy movie. Is that how you wanna die?

I guess from now on they will simply have to work entirely on muscle. Gee, this reminds me of the "South Park" episode where Colorado bans KFC restuaurants to get people to get healthier. As ridiculous as the episode was, I can imagine a scenario like that happening here.

If this was a worldwide ban it would seriously help a lot of people lose weight and feel better about themselves, it would also make the life expectancy of said people to extend. Why Japan though? They're the skinniest fucking country out there (aside from Africa and other third world countries).

I think it's a brilliant idea. Nobody should be fat anyway, it's bad for your health. So really this law is very logical.

You mean like smoking? Smoking is also bad for your health but because the government make so much money off it they will never make it illegal. Money hungry fucks, but I'm not complaining.

Another aspect that's not yet covered.
What if you're overweight? They can fine you, so you are inclined to lose weight. But you're not getting thin in one week or so. So you have to lose weight first. But you're still fat and you are getting fined as long as you don't have the required waist size. So you keep getting crap till you're perfect What f the diet+exercises don't take that easily?
I sense a whole load of people just getting in a whole irreparable mess that can lead to jails being filled with people who are overweight.

I don't think it should be illegal to be fat, however I do think a better way to go about this is through their insurance. Like if you're over weight by a certain amount, then you will not be covered by insurance for weight related issues. Seems a lot more fair, right?

You guy are missing the point entirely. This is a health issue, one thing is a glandular problem or some other condition and another thing is being a fat shit.
They are encouraging health and fitness and you guys actually complain, he government even offers help by free gym memberships.
Not only are the morbidly obese fairly disgusting, but they make health problems and eating disorders look acceptable, obesity is not a choice, it's a disease.
If you are defending obese people, you shouldn't be proud of yourselves.
