I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask or if audio is, but do you guys know how I can make my microphone volume higher on Windows 7? I keep testing my voice on speech recognition and it doesn't seem to be very high. I raised the volume on my microphone but it still doesn't sound high at all. I'm having to yell into the microphone -.-
If I raise the Microphone boost it give off that screeching sound if I try closing my laptop. Like someone putting two hand held microphones together. Really annoying noise.

Probably the Audio forum would be better.
But try right clicking the speaker icon, click Recording devices, double click your microphone, and go to the Levels tab. If it's already maxed out, then I don't know.
#include <stdio.h>
char*p="#include <stdio.h>%cchar*p=%c%s%c;%cmain() {printf(p,10,34,p,34,10);}";
main() {printf(p,10,34,p,34,10);}

I can't max out the microphone booster. It gives off a high screech.

What microphone are you using? Are other microphones just as quiet?

The screech is probably the feedback from your speakers. Try using headphones.
