3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsI'm not going to ask why they're pretty much the same fucking show. It's because Bones was popular enough to make cash, so the people who made Castle made it incredibly similar for a guaranteed paycheck.
Or were they made by the same people?
And it's fucking irratating that they would put a show that's a carbon copy of another show, directly after the show it's copying.
I'm going to have to give the award for better show to Bones for being a lot more charming. But seriously, what the fuck.
We live in a shallow world where people make television (which I consider the highest form of media for artistic expression, because you can combine literary prowess, music and visual art into one bundle) for the paycheck, and not the originality. Shit, that's probably why I liked Boosh so much, 'cos it was fucking different for a fucking change.
Uniqueness. That earns respect.
So fuck Castle. And fuck it, fuck Bones too.
Why don't we make awesome cop shows with full on murders, explosions, car chases, drug references, interesting plot twists instead of boring ones, tits, sex scenes, over the top swearing and bad assness. Don't you think that would make even more money? Hell there's a market for adult soap operas, look at Deadwood and Mad Men and shit.
Fuck Castle.
I've never heard of Castle, but my girlfriend is obsessed with Bones.
You have to draw the line of determination from desperation. What is truly yours would eventually be yours, and what is not, no matter how hard you try, will never be.
Because inaccurate representations of Police Work is entertaining to those with inferior intellect.
Never watched Castle, but shut up about Bones, that series is a fucking legend.

Not knowing how the police work, doesn't prove a person has "inferior intellect". It only proves that they don't know how the police work.

Fucking truth.

It's not too bad, but there's nothing that special about it. I get a lol every now and then.
Now Richard fucking Temperance, that would make something watch worthy.
Currently i do enjoy those two shows a lot, also the Mentalist.
Come on, they're some of the best shows that is on right now. Say one that tops those. Or just concede that you are too much of a snob to watch television.

Good thing nobody is forcing you to watch either show, then.

Where's your standards man, Bones and Castle the best shows on television? They're bland. Missing style, intellect and whats more is it's just a lot of talking and no action.
What are you, American?
Slight racism.

Tell me one show that is better and I will see if I can agree.

Eh, I couldn't really care less about either. I've got a friend who's always going on about Castle, and a entire family who're addicted to Bones. There are quite a few differences between the shows, the most I can tell that they have in common is that they both revolve around inaccurate forensic investigation with likable characters, and with no real pretense of even trying to stick to the rules of police work. Which describes every single CSI to date, so I couldn't care less.

I wouldn't know about the actual forensic data working out in reality. I remember one of the feats in one of the House DVD featured a documentary where they claimed that the physics of House (id est, the diseases and medicinal diagnosis techniques) were rather accurate, but that any doctor doing the things House does woul obviously get him fired in no time.
So I wonder if that's the same in CSI and other detective shows. I can believe that the things they say will probably work, but the way investigations go will be fictional. So I agree that people who think those shows are realistic are idiots.
But if you say these shows are awful because they are not realistic, then that is a stupid statement. It's like saying that Harry Potter is stupid because there is no such things as wizards and trolls and so on. You don't watch shows to see real life, you watch them to escape the burden of daily boring existence.
Bones and Castle, in my opinion, combine elements of detectives and mystery with very amusing eccentric characters, whose interactions just make you smile.
Older police series lacked the surrealism and a lot of the fun casual interactions. In it's own right series like "A touch of Frost" may be interesting, but they are far too serious, in my opinion. And they aren't realistic either, they just don't go as far as CSI does.

Then we might as well cancel Chuck because Burn Notice happened long before it.Or cancel Miami Vice because Hawaii Five-0 happened before. Or cancel the A-Team after 3 episodes, same formula.
As the saying goes, if it ain't broke, why fix it?
Besides, Nathan Fillion needs to do something besides voice over work in Halo.
