i'm rather pleased with the explaination for the lack of merle's hand and his whereabouts. its entirely plausible that the zombies were stalking him to the truck and he was heading back to camp unaware the zombies were following, or he knew.

either way, that episode was great.

I am almost absolutely sure that Merle is exacting revenge.
Kind of saw Amy's and Dr. Domestic Violence's deaths coming.

I love that nickname, don't you?

I hated Amy dying in the show, there was something about her... I don't know... Wish she didn't die, should have been her sister.

why see amy get killed when you can see ed getting ripped apart? i would've payed good money to see zombies strip him clean.

good episode, definitely one of the better so far.

Mexicans taking care of elderly people. Good stuff.

Anywho, does anyone know who dies/gets bit at the attack on the camp?

I know Ed and Amy dies, but they also showed someone getting bit, but still alive. It was either Jim or the other guy with the bushy beard and baseball bat whose name I forgot. Anyone know?

I actually just got into the show and watched all of the episodes last night. This show is very good and you really don't see many others with this quality on TV. Sheriff Woody's wife is a whore though.

Just saw Episode 4.
I didn't like the Vatos storyline that much, it would have been much better if it had not lasted half of the episode. But the zombies in the camp was great, I almost cry when Amy died.
I can't to the next episode to know what the hell happened to Merle.

Pretty good episode. I thought the opening was weak at first, but after the end of the episode, it gave it a whole new context, and made it just as strong as all the previous openings.

I beg to differ.

The fact that he cut off his arm instead of the cuffs completely baffles me.
I mean, honestly? Your hand? How retarded is that. I get how it helps the plot and all that shit.

But I don't think cutting off your hand is your first choice when you finally get that saw.

I mean, there's so many things I thought as wrong with that final episode I don't even know where to begin.

The cuff part is a start, but srsly. NO IM NOT HAPPY.

Just think about it. You have a saw, and you're chained. What do you do?
Do you put yourself in immense pain, handicap yourself...

OR

Do you cut off the chains that keep you there, which is painless, easier, AND RATIONAL.

Sometimes man...I dunno anymore.

The saw would not have cut through the handcuffs. Most handsaws cannot cut steel. They even mentioned this in the episode.

I would have personally tied my shirt and pants together with the saw being attached to one end. I would have used this as a hook/rope and pulled in the bag of tools, grabbed the hammer, and hit away at the weaker linked part of the handcuffs until it broke. The geeks wouldn't have gotten through with the way the door was locked and I'd have my hand attached.

Could've sworn I saw Shane get bitten in the arm/neck area during the carnage, not sure.

What about that thinner piece of metal the cuffs were around? Would have made a lot more sense to cut that... My Dad wouldn't shut up about how stupid the dude was.

I had the fortune to buy the first volume two weeks before the show, I found it very cheap, I was saving that money for more "important" things, but I decided to buy it anyways. I suppose the comics are more expensive because of the show, I made a smart buy.

This is what my TV guide says about tonight.

Wildfire: Rick leads the group to the CDC; Jim must make a life or death decision.
