I agree with everyone though. There needs to be a little bit more zombies in the next one. Building plot is great, but make sure to mix it in with the zombies as well. We need a good variety of both in this series in each episode.

I missed it last night...
I sat there for the first ten minutes or so but because I was so sick I couldn't deal with it anymore.
Had to go to bed.
Pops said there was not much zombie killing and such, so he instantly said it sucked... I guess he doesn't understand it is a huge story they are building up and you have to expect that. It isn't a zombie movie, it's a series that isn't even completed from the comics.
I'll be watching this when it reruns, should be today or the next... AMC is playing it a lot.

Yeah, whatever.

i was almost right.

needs more zombies, i don't care much for the drama between his family and the cop's friend; like how he beat the shit out of that guy out of spite at the end though.

you guys seem to be implying that show is about killing zombies rather than society's decline and human depravity, shane for example. however, the writer's are doing a fine job of steering it into a soap opera.

Yeah.. pretty much. It's a damn show about zombies. The producers need to stop trying to make it something deeper than it actually is. (I know it's based on a comic (which sucks), but even the comic has way more action than the show has so far.)

I bet he's still on the roof somewhere, it didn't show the entire roof.. He's probably chilling in a corner or something.

hacksaws, saws specifically designed to cut metal, wouldn't cut through the cuff chains? reasonable enough. he could have just cut through the pipe the cuffs were attached to.

I think the problem was that he was worried the zombies were about to break down the door any moment.

He needed to escape quick, and it was faster to saw through his hand.

Rick's wife was definitely a lot hotter in the book than in this show.

Good show still, but too much story exposure, needs more zombies. The whole river scene this episode was not needed at all.

Just saw episode 3.

It seems a lot of people it's disappointed because it's "too much drama, and not enough zombies".
I think it's balanced the drama and the zombie thing, just like the comic book. Merle Dixon (the guy in the roof) is not in the comic book, so that part of the plot it's the one that keep me intrigued, and I can't wait to see what happens next episode, I bet one of the Dixon brothers will kill the black guy.

And I don't think that the river scene was unnecessary, it shows how even in an apocalyptic scenario, people can't leave their prejudices behind, and that's the whole point of that "rainbow" variety of races on the camp.

I enjoyed this episode. Shane beating the living fuck out of the wife abuser made me smile, and the cutting off of the hand was a nice twist. I just wish they could make equal time for characters and zombies. I'm all for good character development, but this IS a show about zombies.

I miss my vibrator.

I watched the first 3 episodes. This isn't your typical zombie show.
It has the right amount of drama, and action.

It's on tonight y'all.

This is what my tv guide says about tonights episode: Rick's mission to Atlanta is jeopardized; Jim becomes unhinged in camp.

From Dusk 'Til Dawn is a great movie, even if its plot was derailed halfway through.
