AMC (american movie classics) is coming out with a TV show based on a zombie comic. Called The Walking Dead, it is based on the comic book series of the same name. The executive producer is that of Terminator and Aliens, so I guess there is some good potential in it if he is putting his money into it. This is what the site has to say about it:
"Waking up in an empty hospital after weeks in a coma, County Sheriff Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) finds himself utterly alone. The world as he knows it is gone, ravaged by a zombie epidemic. The Walking Dead tells the story of the weeks and months that follow after the apocalypse. Based on Robert Kirkman's hugely successful and popular comic book series, AMC's new original series, The Walking Dead, premieres with a 90-minute episode on Halloween night: Oct. 31 at 10/9c. Written and executive produced by three-time Academy® Award-nominee Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile), who also directs the pilot, and executive produced by Gale Anne Hurd (The Terminator, Aliens), the series debuts during AMC Fearfest, the network's annual blockbuster marathon of thriller and horror films.
The Walking Dead is an epic, edge-of-your-seat drama where personal struggles are magnified against a backdrop of moment-to-moment survival. A survivalist story at its core, the series explores how the living are changed by the overwhelming realization that those who survive can be far more dangerous that the mindless walkers roaming the earth. They themselves have become the walking dead.
Shot on location in Atlanta, The Walking Dead is led by a cast that includes Lincoln (Teachers, Love Actually) as Rick Grimes, Jon Bernthal (The Pacific, The Ghost Writer) as Shane Walsh, Sarah Wayne Callies (Prison Break) as Lori Grimes, Laurie Holden (The Shield, Stephen King's The Mist) as Andrea, Jeffrey DeMunn (Stephen King's The Mist, The Green Mile) as Dale, Steven Yeun (The Big Bang Theory) as Glen, Emma Bell (The Bedford Diaries) as Amy and Chandler Riggs (Get Low) as Carl Grimes."
It premiers on Halloween, and honestly I can't wait.
I seriously can't wait for this either!

I would literally stab an old lady if it would make the show start airing right now.

The comic book podcast I listen to has been talking about this since forever and a half.

I was thinking of reading them. Do you know if there is a place online where I can view it? I would go to the library but I have lost a book from there 2 years ago and I don't wanna pay the fine.
There's gonna be a Zombie Walk on my city in halloween, and after this, I'm gonna watch this.
This is gonna be the best Halloween ever!!!!!!!!!

They are online some where... I can't remember where... If you really want you can download them, I wouldn't recommend it... If you can buy them, buy them...Totally worth the money my man.
Yeah, whatever.
Yes!
Sounds epic
I fucking love zombies.
If Robert Rodriguez made this show, I would hump it viciously.

I'm pretty pumped for this show. Why can't October 31st be closer?!
Looks a bit interesting. I'll be sure to give this a watch come Halloween.
NOTE: not a complete idiot. some parts are missing.
I'm getting tired of this "Zombie virus epidemic outbreak" bullshit. Why can't we have straight-up, dead rising from the grave?
FUCK YEA! The guy who makes this writes one of my favorite superhero comics, Invincible.

AH! I've been waiting for this show for a while.
I want to see it so badly! I've only started reading the comic
and it is pretty great so far.
Oh man!! Those zombies look so great.
I've always hoped someone would make a TV series like this.
Sadly, I can't get AMC where I live.
Bummer.
From the commercials I have seen, it looks okay...
I have very little faith in a made-for-tv zombie series, tho.
Thanks for the heads up dude, this is going on the calendar.
I apologize in advance.
George Romero style zombies or modern zombies?
George Romero style zombies were slow and stiff.
Modern zombies can run.
I like both but mainly I am into the classics
@IncendiaryProduction: LOL! I think that zombie on the opening post is a man in a rubber mask!
It made me laugh.
CHOMP
DUDE! those comics were so fucking good someone stole them from my high school library like 2 years ago. I literally can't wait for this shit.
Life is a performance, and the world is full of critics. Give it your all like it's your last show.
Stuff you don't care about

It's actually a woman. You should see the video about it on the website. They searched all over the world until they found this one chick who's face shape matched the face of the zombie from the comic. Then they spent hours putting on all the latex and details just for that one scene.
