i cant disagree with that statement.... plus it really gets annoying that people judge an entire site just because of a few people

Lurk more, I'm sure you'll find some funny threads.

Perhaps "dull" was too strong of a word. In fact, I'd say I should have wrote "tame" instead of "dull." Since everyone is all "oh no viruses and CP" and all that. When it's quite devoid of both of those things, well, with the exception of /b/ which is more than possible to ignore completely. Even then, you only get viruses if you fall for one of their pranks like a dumbass.
Honestly, 4chan has had some of the funniest threads that I've seen on the internet. Over there they have such thing as originality. Not like this place, in which people spout endless reference/memes.
Credit goes to ChrisLovejoy for this spectacularly spooky sig! [Go fab to fight against breast cancer! For the sake of titties everywhere!]

I've seen it in /src/, /tr/, of course /b/, /s/ - as much as /b/ actually, /r/, and even in /v/. What makes it worse is that I have only visited different boards other than /b/ only a few times.
and of course there's more idiots considering it has a MUCH larger community than Newgrounds.
This is an excuse for having more idiots and less people who just want a thread that does not get CP posted in it or a bunch of 12 year olds spamming memes and "lol omg"?

Yes I have. I actually check it out sometimes when I get bored, it's a total scum hole. Anybody in this thread trying to defend them really needs to take their head out of their ass and get a detailed look at it.

.....I'm sorry what I appear to have missed that memo, since when did NG hate 4chan. We have no reason to hate them, I love 4chan, I'm on there now.

Eh, can't say much about 4Chan, but the owner is a pretty cool guy.

i know right? the owner is just as awsome as tom fulp

Are they our rivals, or something?
Not everyone on NG hates 4chan. In fact, quite a few regulars on NG regulate 4chan as well. I guess the people that hate 4chan are the people that have had bad experiences with the site previously or just haven't used it yet and follow generalised negativity out of fear of using the website (just to see what its like) for themselves. Well, that's more from my experience of knowing people who don't like 4chan, though - there will be obviously other people that hate it for another reason.
Oh, and 4chan are not "our rivals". Neither are we their's...

hey, u just have to give the dude a chance... turns out the owner of 4chan never wanted it to be full of trolls, and it was originally susposed to be an english version of 2chan

Yeah ... can't really say he's as awesome as Tom.

I meant the part where you said he is just as good as Tom. I don't care if he didn't mean it, this guy has pretty much made the internet an annoying shitfest.
Tom takes care of his users, Tom takes care of the site, Tom talks to the users on a regular basis. This guy turned up for ten minutes to chat with some channers on 4chan's 7th anniversary last week.
No comparison.

well he's as friendly towards me as Tom

Pretty much.
Honestly, it's just a bandwagon of hate. People associate 4chan, and especially /b/, with being the scum of the internet, a scary place to be avoided at all costs, to be shunned and raged at and to be poked at with a stick.
That's true, in a way, but the childish way that people treat 4chan irritates me. 4chan does not care about you, about as much as most of Newgrounds does not care about you. It will do whatever the fuck it wants, the only real difference is that we have mods.
Just check out both sites and decide. I visit both regularly, so it's not like you have to choose.

They do have mods, and they all fucking suck. They spend most of their time deleting threads with spam in them and spend less time looking for CP etc.
Our mods give a crap. That is why we are better at cleaning up unwanted users and threads.

The pathetic excuses they have as mods, I barely see. I wouldn't even really say that they had mods to begin with, if it weren't for the odd disappearance of a CP thread or two and the humorous remarks about homosexuality implanted in meme threads.
Newgrounds... yeah, we have much, much more effective modding. That's not a good or bad thing, our system works more personally, and it's not like each user is totally anonymous. It's just different.
