Majority of 4chan is stupid but they also got the smartest hackers in the world.

The people of 4chan are surprisingly smart, in a creepy way. They sure know how to use the internet for what they are looking for, as well as how to draw quite well. If they want to know who some one is, they can figure it out through collaboration. For example, they figured out who that girl who was throwing the puppies in the lake was, and were able to figure out who jessie slaughter was and continuously threatened and messed with her in all ways on the internet. 4chan is like a federal investigation and exploitation agency where no one gets paid. People say there are immature kids on there, but they are really just extremely dedicated young adults.

I don't hate 4chan per se. I just hate that their population is taking over NG.

Agreed. Even though the NG community hates them, I can't be sure about them until I spend some time around 4chan. I just hope that there really isn't CP on that site.

The reason I say all that is because, quite frankly, I don't know if you guys are biased againsed 4chan or not. For all I know, you guys could be making up that these people post CP, and it's subjective whether or not they are idiot trolls. Maybe one of you is on NG to make fun of NGers while your primary account is on 4chan, I don't know. Everythings anonymous.

I don't hate 4chan to begin with, but I made this thread to get a straight answer. So far, I haven't gotten that. And I have a feeling that the only way to get a straight answer is to experience it.

I just don't want to take any chances.

well i'm with you, you cant really get a straight answer cause after all, you cant judge one person just because of everyone around him or his group cause that person CAN be different than the others

4chan sucks. the mods are assholes (if there even online) there countless amounts of cp. then the site overall sucks ass. 420chan however kicks ass.

If you're going to experience it for yourself, I suggest starting with /d/. Quite frankly, it's full of the most intelligent people on the internet and they discuss important issues. It's great and I highly recommend it.

/d/ is one of the many imageboards on 4chan that's about current events and general discussion. Contrary to the likes of /b/, it's completely free of shitty memes. It's the best board on 4chan IMO.

Hating any one website based on users is pointless. The concept of 4chan is quite interesting, it's the users we should all hate, not the website.

I have been to 4chan before and it was okay. I prefer Newgrounds myself. I think everybody should check out both sites and then decide for themselves.

Yeah, this. Especially since probably half of us just hate 4chan or its users just because we only know what our friends say and not what we actually think.

I've just gotta say, that the majority of the time the memes aren't too bad at all - it's when the kiddies over at YouTube catch on when they start to get out of hands and people start spewing them all over the place. Bare in mind that amongst the many no-lifers at YouTube, there are also some people who aren't socially incompetent, unlike all other places on the internet, meaning they're spread across outside the internet, too. It's when they get out of *chans, whom as a whole use them only when appropriate, that the 'most annoying things ABOUT the internet' come from, that they cross over from a small inside joke to what you've explained.

Of course, Newgrounds is one of the places that they spread onto. Places like here are where they really do start to get overused seriously.

Bare in mind that I'm not a 4chan user, although I do frequent many of the higher chans.

We seem to hate /b/ the most, but 4chan is still a shit hole.

How can you hate something that doesn't affect your life in the slightest? Had they ever came to newgrounds your hatred towards could be partially explained.

Because the only board they know of is /b/. Check /sci/, /po/, /g/, /ck/. You may find an occasional troll, idiot, or 12 year old, but it's not the entire population of those boards.
