Allow me to explain 4chan in layman's terms.
4chan is the leading source of internet meme's. This means that most of the annoying things ABOUT the internet tend to come from 4chan.
Also, if you were to ever go to 4chan, you would recieve such an utter explosion of retardation in any topic you might start, that your head might collapse in on itself. This is not because their users are stupid, far from it. This is an intentional self defense mechanism that it implemented whenever anyone new goes to 4chan. Ask a question? Expect perhaps one semi-serious answer out of 100 "lol ur gay"'s.
4chan has reached such infamy that their creator was brought to court as an 'expert witness' concerning what internet terms mean. The reason why is because 4chan actually started its own scandal concernign Mrs. Palin. One individual on the site's sommunity hacked her email, and leaked her information all over the forums, which was considered by her to be equivalent to Watergate. It wasn't, but whatever.
4chan is the ghetto of the internet community, go at your own risk, and expect viruses unless you're fully prepared with intricate defenses that government paid hackers couldn't figure out how to get past.

To clarify, ebaumsworld was never a rival to NG. Basically, a flash artist made a video to an already existing song that encouraged everyone to rise up against ebaumsworld and stop watching it, as none of the videos on the site are original. All are stolen, all are retarded. It was never a rival, just a hated site.
I don't hate them at all. I just don't like going to that website so I don't. It isn't that I hate them; I just don't find that site very entertaining. I also think some of the "pranks" they pull go a little too far, and there is some CP on that site and I find it disgusting.
