So I was thinking; Vampires may not be all that fictional. I mean, drinking blood for sustinence does kindof make sense if you look at it right.
blood flows to your body transporting nutrients and such. humans ingest nutrients and such. humans therefore can ingest blood in the same way?
Or maybe I'm just doing it wrong.

Cannibalism (as drinking blood is kind of cannibalism) causes bad stuff to people.
If you perform cannibalism for a certain period of time, your hands will start to shake for no reason. Many other stuff will happen to you. I don't know if cannibalism is addictive, but i guess it might be kind of intriguing.

you are doing it wrong humans can drink a pint of blood before getting sick and regurgitating it plus the nutrents from the blood have already been 'changed' there not the same ones like the ones in food, all you would do is swallow blood and get sick

It wouldn't even taste good, however 'vampires' apparently need it to survive, unless you aren't talking about fantasy typed vampires, but more so vampires in real life that aren't like on movies.
Regardless, 'real' vampires feed off energy and it's all mind stuff rather than eating people, etc.
Yeah, whatever.

From this point on, all vampires are required to sparkle.
Also, their face must look like they're constipated.

Of course they're real.
You know how they came to be? Since newly dead corpses tend to expand with the gas being released from decomposition, they look healthier and fatter than they did when first buried, giving rise to the belief that these corpses were alive and feasting upon the living.

Drinking blood does not equal vampirism. If you explode when the sun's rays touches you, can't enter houses without being invite, have super strength and can run super fast after drinking blood, then yes, that's vampirism. But that's not the case in real life. This thread is stupid.

Nah, it's fucking stupid. Blood isn't meant to be digested, that's why huh, I dunno if your stomach is bleeding you have a serious fucking problem.
I have yet to see a vampire kid actually do anything even remotely fucking interesting.
I have a strange intense hatred for them that doesn't make any goddamn sense.

Truer words, have never been spoken, if one thing is going to unite humanity it's the intense hatred of twilight, or at least everyone except girls raging with hormones who don't have access to pornography.

Drinking blood is, for some people, addictive.
Those people also will get from the mixed blood differents kind of diseases, so i've heard.

If your stomach is bleeding, you have a problem because there is a hole in the lining of your stomach. The problem is NOT that there is suddenly blood in your digestive system.

In Paupa New Guinea, it used to be common among certain tribes to eat a deceased tribe member (after he died of natural causes). Researchers found that this would sometimes lead to a disease called Kuru "The Laughing Sickness". Because it wasn't researched fully, the researchers blamed it on the act of cannabalism. Later, it was found to be an infectious disease, caused by prions- much like mad cow disease.
Early symptoms of Kuru include shaking of the limbs, which is where you are getting the hand shaking idea I think. (Either that, or the movie The Book of Eli). So, to summarize, you don't shake for no reason at all.

HIV, Hep B, Hep C are all blood-borne.
There's nothing super magical about blood. It 'can' be digested (Blood sausage... vietnamese Ti%u1EBFt canh) but it's generally unappetizing so most cultures tend not to use it in meals.

In theory, this is possable. Vampire bats get all their nutrition from blood. I'm not sure if science can help us do the same, or if they even will.

When you drink water, you are not losing water magically.
If one was to drink blood, they would not be losing their own blood.
Blood does have calories and nutrients. Your body would break down it down, take what it wanted, and get rid of the rest. I doubt a human could stay healthy, and live on just blood- human or animal.

I suspect the whole vampire legend came about due to a lack of knowledge of Porphyria as a disease (see below) back in the middle ages.
https://health.google.com/health/ref/Por phyria
Those who suffer from this disease are sensitive to sunlight and often do require hospital administered hemoglobin to survive. The idea of someone with this disease hundreds of years ago, running around biting people on the neck for survival does kind of make sense. Of course, it would not be very cool. Lots of people have syphillis, AIDS, and back then... the plague. All of this can be gotten by ingesting the blood of others I'd imagine so it cannot be a very sanitary lifestyle.

Holy christ you guys, really?
People die when recieving a different blood type intravenously, because- if given the wrong type, the antibodies in the recipients blood may attack the donated blood, and rip apart the blood cells. It's called acute hemolytic transfusion.
If you were to drink blood- it's not going to go directly into your bloodstream, and so the antibodies won't give a shit.
This is why they do not crosstype you with your rare steak.

Vampires aren't real, but there are probably extremely pale people out there with sharp teeth and like biting people and licking their blood.

There are things like vampire bats or leeches or tons of animals that feast on blood. In terms of humans, I guess a human could feast on blood if he or she wanted to. It would probably not give you all the nutrients to survive, as I would think you would at least need some fruit or vegetables in your diet. There have been some people who were insane and did suck blood, but luckily they were not immortal or anything.

Blood does have calories and nutrients. Your body would break down it down, take what it wanted, and get rid of the rest. I doubt a human could stay healthy, and live on just blood- human or animal.
But when you drink water you put water into your body, when you drink blood your stomach isnt ment to hold blood so it instantly rejects it in the form of human waste. So you loose as much blood as you drunk.
And dont drink to much or you will become intoxicated

Can't remember where I found it but there are a lot of reasons why it would be difficult for vampires to stay alive for long periods of time without just deteriorating. All of their cells are dead and blood keeps them alive.
