But no, men should feel indifferent towards a series clearly aimed at the other sex.
Not what you said earlier:
"Seriously. Guys have this issue with things girls like."
Women don't go off ranting about the evils of films like Die Hard and etc.
Obviously you haven't met the type of woman I have.
What ones did you name earlier? Blade right? Never heard a woman compare about that one.
I have.
Same with the Lesbian Vampire Killers.
I have.
Not all, but some do.
This is what I don't understand. Twilight is obviously something for girls so why do guys make such a vendetta about the series as though most of them have bothered to watch/read the series before passing judgement that the lot are terrible?
Because you're doing the EXACT same thing you did when you replied to me in the penis thread. You assume things based only on the actions of people around you and then apply it to the entire universe. You haven't seen woman complain about films men like, but you have seen men complain about films woman like, so ergo that must "obviously" mean that men moan and woman don't.
You'd make a great lawyer "well I see men commit murder all the time so therefore my defendant is innocent because it's a woman".
My point for redundant? Not really. Like I said men should feel indifferent about the saga not feel the hatred that seems to come to them. So yeah, jealousy.
Hatred? Really? Not what you said earlier.
"When girls openly adore something a lot, guys tend to dislike that thing, for the pure fact that the girl likes it. It's stupid but there we are."
So it's gone from dislike to hatred? Really? From "men dislike things just because woman like it" to "they should feel indifferent about it because it's focused on woman." Nice job keeping your story straight.
I love the fact that you say you don't moan about something you haven't seen but complain about men who do the same to Twilight.
Also, pic somewhat related.

Let's talk about Japan and America during WW2.
Japan represents the concept of vampires and werewolves, and America represents the sack of shit going by the moniker of "Stephenie Meyer". Nagasaki represents literature, and the Fat Man represents Stephenie Meyer's body of works. The genetic mutation and physical injury on the people of Nagasaki represent converted fans, while the lasting psychological pain and genetic fucking up on them represents how Stephenie Meyer has let loose an irreversable shitbomb on literature.
Well, yes they obviously do know what they are doing with themselves. But the people who are making Twilight, the directors, big companies, etc. They are just luring in 11 year old girls, or lonely housewives with a guy who has abs, and he never has a shirt. They don't care about the movie at all, though. Some people do, but the majority don't. That also tends to annoy me.

Lusting after a picture like that I have no problem calling myself a pedo
I'm still waiting for someone to create a franchise that's a male parallel of Twilight.

My own fault for not using an emoticon to show off my lack of seriousness I suppose. I tried to correct myself the second time.

Yeah they do. Guys want the attention on them not on something that isn't them, like R Patz or Justin Bieber.
Obviously you haven't met the type of woman I have.
Thankfully then. Die Hard is a great series.
I have.
Why do these women find Blade so offensive exactly? And you're telling me that they dislike it to the point that men seem to dislike Twilight? And the women who dislike it so much, are they females who haven't watched it, like most Twilight haters seem to contain men who haven't watched the saga?
I have.
Not all, but some do.
I have no opinion here. I haven't seen it, like I said. So I'm not bothered.

You'd make a great lawyer "well I see men commit murder all the time so therefore my defendant is innocent because it's a woman".
Well of course I am aware women moan a heck of a deal. We are kinda known for it. And of course I will use my experience in the matter to voice my opinion. I haven't seen girls go to the depths to hate a piece of fiction or to hate certain artists that some guys seem to. Of course I have seen girls go to incredible lengths to hate things in real life (usually people) but that is a different matter eventually. At least with that it is something that actually affect their lives. Not films or books which can be ignored at will. Don't like it, don't watch it. It really is as simple as that.
Hatred? Really? Not what you said earlier.

Shoulda, woulda, coulda.
Men should feel indifferent about it because its for girls, but they dislike the things anyway because the girls seem to like them so much to the point of obsession.
Better? No. Ok. I don't care.
I love the fact that you say you don't moan about something you haven't seen but complain about men who do the same to Twilight.
Men who have seen the saga do have the right to complain if they want, sure. My biff is with the large majority of guys who haven't seen it before complaining. If you've seen it and dislike it for varies reasons then good for you. It wasn't that bad though personally.

Hey I'm just saying, if she is Team Edward, she ain't gonna be lusting after Jacobs body. That's my point. You would have done better to post Edward.
Actually Gags, I find Edward to be better because he was there first. Just because you have a glistening wolf-man body does not mean you can barge in on someone else's love.
It doesn't work.

How about both?
The reason Twilight sucks is because it ruined vampires and werewolves forever, it's a crappy chick flick (aren't they all), the commercials/trailers are annoying as fuck, the fans are obsessed with it, and pic related:

It kind of matters because you can screw up the meaning completely by saying everyone instead of most people. Learn English.

Dude, i'm not even referencing something YOU said. You're being a friggin third wheel. And if you bother to read through what the person I'm quoting said in his/her original posts then you will be able to make sense BUT WHY YOU WOULD BOTHER IS BEYOND ME. Ok?
Now back to the point: twilight sucks.
Reason 1: Vampires dont shine in the sun, they burn up.
Thats all I got, I never watched it and I never will.
Good vampire movies: Nosferatu, Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992 remake and the ones before it), Blade 1 & 2, Lost boys, Underworld, and more. But Twilight will never be on this list because Twilight isn't a vampire movie, its a movie about a fairy, because he twinkles.
I am sure most Twilight fans don't even know who Bram Stoker is and never even heard of Dracula and think that vampires are romantic being of the night rather than blood sucking monsters.
Twilight fans are all 13 year old girls, and they are part of the "Should of been aborted generation"

Is it just me or did that arguement totally destroy this thread?
Twilight fans: People who have never seen a vampire movie before twilight, who think vampires are after their hearts and to fall in love with and will be of eternal love bla bla bla puke bla, and in the sun they sparkle.
Picture 100% related
At 10/3/10 10:23 AM, Gagsy wrote: Yeah they do. Guys want the attention on them not on something that isn't them, like R Patz or Justin Bieber.
So what is it then? Do men "hate/Dislike" it because woman like it or are they supposed to feel indifferent about it because it's not focused on men?
I also love how you keep making assertions about people (just like the penis thread, AGAIN) without backing it up.
So therefore, anything else you say I'm just going to call bullshit because you evidently love pulling things out of your ass without thinking about it first.
Why do these women find Blade so offensive exactly?
The general complaint is films like this revolve around a "males immaturity" and a movie must contain absolutely massive amounts of violence, sexual references mixed in with blood, gore and nasty little monsters. The remaining excuse was some considered a horror flick which they despised.
And you're telling me that they dislike it to the point that men seem to dislike Twilight?
How many men dislike Twilight and how much do they dislike it? I'm sure you've got this massive study to show that you're not just making it up from what you've personally seen, right?
Here's a tip, if you're making a factual claim that's anecdotal, I'm not interested.
And the women who dislike it so much, are they females who haven't watched it, like most Twilight haters seem to contain men who haven't watched the saga?
How many of the "haters" haven't seen it?
You see? There's the difference. When I'm using anecdotal, I'll make damn sure people know it's anecdotal. But you on the other hand, just apply it to either many or all.
How's the lawyer thing going?
Well of course I am aware women moan a heck of a deal. We are kinda known for it.
Really?
Or maybe, that some people moan about specific things and some don't, regardless of gender. Or race, religion, nationality etc.
And of course I will use my experience in the matter to voice my opinion. I haven't seen girls go to the depths to hate a piece of fiction or to hate certain artists that some guys seem to.
Ever wondered why that is? Of course it could be male jealously, or maybe, just maybe you're using purely anecdotal accounts while passing them off as fact so you can draw a sketchy conclusion.
But hey, let's use that logic. Getting hit by a car means you certainly and absolutely wont die so let's all start dancing on the motorway!
Of course I have seen girls go to incredible lengths to hate things in real life (usually people) but that is a different matter eventually. At least with that it is something that actually affect their lives. Not films or books which can be ignored at will. Don't like it, don't watch it. It really is as simple as that.
The Catcher in the Rye was an awesome inspiration for a very dramatic event.
But are you telling me that no woman has any sort of hatred for anything other than what directly effects them in the real world? Calling the bullshit bus, mind the step when you get on.
Shoulda, woulda, coulda.
Men should feel indifferent about it because its for girls, but they dislike the things anyway because the girls seem to like them so much to the point of obsession.
Once again, and again, and again. Stop asserting utter crap just from what you see in the street. Mkay? You want proof that not all men hate things just because woman adore them? Alright, HERE I AM.
My friend Tiffany loves reading up on sharks. As do I.
She loves particular foods and drinks which I also like.
She loves particular cartoons, as do I.
She likes particular movies, as do I.
She likes particular jokes, the same as me.
According to your logic, I should hate all of these things, but guess what? I don't.
So until you can actually prove what you're saying, it's all just bullshit and you know it.
Better? No. Ok. I don't care.
You care enough to respond to my posts.
Men who have seen the saga do have the right to complain if they want, sure. My biff is with the large majority of guys who haven't seen it before complaining. If you've seen it and dislike it for varies reasons then good for you. It wasn't that bad though personally.
So how many men haven't seen it? What about just a ball park figure?
Oh that's right, more bullshit.
Also, pic somewhat related.Men don't stare at schoolgirls lustfully? lol ok.
It never said it did. The illustration of the picture is saying that if men did publicly go nuts about a teenage movie character (Emma watson anyone?) that'd be "wrong", but when a woman does it, that's perfectly fine. don't know if it's entirely true, but it's funny.

Like this pic. I find the vampire on the left to be gayer. That's the deal with ancient horrorflicks. They put a guy in a cheesy costume and let them diddle girls and they call it the epitome of horror. Now people are saying that these movies as classics are so much better than the new movies because then vampires were badass. So essentially we should put more people in ape costumes to make any decent horrors?
