"I'm thinking of making a series of interactive tutorials on Flash for anyone that needs help at school. [BURNING OPHANAGE] I'm 14 and I do alright for myself at school, so I was wondering if anyone was stuck on any particular topics at school? [BOOBS] If you do want help with something, please tell me. I'd love to start compiling some tutorials for anyone who needs help."

Would you now like to request something Supasang?

OP, I admire your willingness to create something useful for your fellow students, but I am not sure if there's anything else you could add to the revision systems that are already in place.

That said, when I was doing GCSEs they signed everybody up to this god-awful revision network called "SAM Learning" which was the most useless pile of donkey shit I've ever used in my life.

Example. For my business studies revision, one of the questions it posed was:

Q: Which of the following is a legitimate way to raise money in order to start a business?
A: Bank loan.
B: Money laundering.

I'm not fucking kidding either.

Ah, sam learning, rememberthat, It was just plain stupid, there were useless tests that allowed you to mark your own answers, I always got 100%, suprisingly

Christ, that is stupid, If the answer was actually money laundering, I would love to take that course

NOTE TO OP: You have good intentions, sure bt I doubt you will a) Know better than the actual people who right the courses, who are the samepeple who right the books, and b) be able to cver anything in any real depth, make somthing you actually enjoy.

Sounds like my driving theory test:

Q: You pull up to a pedestrian crossing and an old lady is mvoing across slowly. Do you:
a) Use your horn to hurry her across
b) Rev your engine
c) Wait patiently
d) Swerve around her while she is crossing

Seriously, that was a real question.

To the OP, another good request would be photosynthesis, in as much detail as you are willing to go into. Everyone seems to struggle with plants for some reason.

Actually, all this talk of stupid questions remind me of smething that one in one of my GCSE science papers (I didn't see it 'cos I took higher tier) Which is as follows:

Scientists look into space using what? (Or someting along those lines)
a) Telescope
b) Microscope
c) Synthesiser

Naturally, the papers latched on to this, as an example of how exams were getting easier, failing to realise that he questions get progressively more difficult, and the demand for this question was about that of an F grade.

Oh yeah some of the questions in that are just plain idiotic. I remember one about "What effect does alcohol have on your driving" or something like that, with three blatantly wrong answers and one obviously correct one.

The problem I face with my students is that 90% of them would rather chew their own faces off than read a book, so it doesn't matter how excellent or in depth they are. Meanwhile Bitesize is all well and good, but some subjects aren't in enough depth on there, and there are only a small number of useful animations.

However, if you give a student a site with animations that they can watch on a computer then they will be happy to watch them (especially if they are poorly done or funny- better yet would be in the form of a game, but often I make my own board games to help them to understand). It is amazing how much more productive today's students are when a computer screen is involved, and as such I am always on the hunt for as many computer resources as I can find.

I agree with Sentio - A lot of kids would rather watch an animation than read a book. Plus, BBC bitesize certainly doesn't cover everything :P

Sentio, I'll do photosynthesis as well. As for the bonding - I an doing to animes. One on why covalent bonds happen, and one on different types of bonds. Don't hesistate if you want anything else :)

If it were done in jest then yeah, I'd say that it'd be a pretty good idea - presenting school with legitimate jokes in a parodied atmosphere which, while it wouldn't be the most original idea, would certainly attract quite a bit of attention if done correctly. You seem to be deadly serious, so gaaaay.

In either case, just put whatever it is you've learnt (maybe not so much the information itself as to how to learn) into the flash and do it in an interesting manner.

I live in England, and I have no idea how much the American curriculum differs from our own, but hopefully I can still be of some use ;)

Newgrounds is for leisure only, Thanks for the idea but it will not be acceoted
Please note that if you do submit your flash it will be blammed in 2 seconds

This is Newgrounds, or, better yet, this is the INTERNET. I come here to get away from school.

So, that isn't the best idea.

Maybe so, but if someone is coming up to an exam or what have you and stumble across one of these videos, it may come as some handy revision or help to explain something that they didn't already know. Are you sure there's nothing you'd want a tutorial on that you struggle with at school?

If I had an exam coming up I wouldn't be on Newgrounds. I'd be studying.

Animations are handy for difficult concepts. I use a program that comes with my A&P book- it was great for explaining membrane potential, and a few other concepts that involved multiple steps and actions. If I knew how to put it on youtube, I'd show you. You have a good idea here, but remember that a lot of your audience is firmly rooted in the "LOL!! LERNING IS GAY!!" mindset.

It's a good idea but i don't think it fits NG, people don't come here for help in school. In fact a lot of people come here to procrastinate.

In America we teach the correct things. Like how America kicked your ass in the late 1700s and 1812. That is all we need to know(and it's all everyone knows because they don't teach anyone anything besides:America is the best and we kicked Britain's ass...TWICE!) Oh and that we hate black people and education. And we just love big business because the big business CEOs will make everything right.

This is what America is about.

If you lived in America, you would understand. Actually you'd be too stupid to understand, which brings me to the conclusion that you are also an American.
