Via Heroin Overdose. it says that in the post.
nah, i'm being a dick.
but seriouslt, Spurgin was a big loss for the newgrounds community, the man who created pimp's quest and Stick Slayer has got to be remembered. without those early days, there would be nothing.

Sure i did. I even repied him. But i don't see any news post from Tom about Ben Spurgin day, ya know.
I love Ben's dramatic introductions. It's strange to see his userpage up, giving an update on his profects only months before his death. Well, strange and really cool at the same time.
Visiting Newgrounds Since 2003
R.I.P Ben Spurgin, may your flashes live forever
Stick Slayer is one of the first great series i have ever seen on Newgrounds when i first started coming here,Ben will always be missed and i'm glad to see that there will be a tribute day for him. :)

Sounds like a good idea. Is it going to be one of those NG holidays where the Tankman has one of his characters in it? That'd be cool.

He is not a role model.
Certainly not someone who deserves a day in their memory.
He killed himself with drugs, I couldn't care less if he was a good animator or not.
That doesn't exactly give people a lot of time to make something decent... I'll just sit and watch what others come up with. Rest in peace, Ben.
