Can we make a religion forum? I figure, if we have a politics forums, why not a religious one? That way, we can keep at least a little bit of the stupid religious threads off of general. Honestly, I'm tired of hearing it. It's all just the same stuff people have said before.
Maybe I'm asking for way too much.

Well, the purpose of general is for anything. Sure they're annoying topics, but we can't keep splitting up the general into tons of uninhabited forums.

There's like 5 word descriptions of each forum on the main page, but everyone ignores them.
Examples:
-Video game threads in the general forum
-Flash threads in the programming forum
and so on.

Sure there could be a religion forum but then there would have to be users that just post in that forum and the site would get overrun with religion and messages.

Because religious threads already have a place, the political forum. That's where they're posted.
Why not a military forum for army threads? Why not a philosophy forum? Or how about a news forum where we talk about recent events broadcast on the news? Maybe a company forum where we can argue about what's better, coca cola or pepsi?
The reality of it is, people talk about more than politics in the political forum, yet since religion is a touché subject that gets the most attention.
It's not the lack of crimes that values your morality but your capacity for contrition.

Religion is politics. Most discussions about that will take place in Politics, General for the more wide ranging subjects and Clubs & Crews for the more organised discussions on one sort of religion.
It's been covered.
