"Maybe" or "We'll see"

Have any you noticed? I mean, when you ask someone for something/a favor, they will either say "Maybe" or "We'll see". When they say, "Maybe" most of the time it means, yes. But when they say, "We'll see", It always means no.

Because anytime I ask a request from a friend they'll almost always say yes... Right now I'm thinking that your thinking along the lines of parents?

Yep, when you say we'll see it is just to delay the inevitable that they are gonna say no.

you're right.... it gets annoying, but atleast you will know what the outcome will be whenever you ask the person
