Things like name the first 4 books of the bible. Where was Jesus born, and other questions about the bible.
Indeed I was surprised that people that came right out of church didn't know as much as their actually supposed to. But this probably has to do with the churches trailing off. They need to get back to the basics of the first few books and go on up.
It wouldn't hurt.
for the people arguing about the purpose of going to church:
you go to worship god, to learn about the bible, and to fellowship (hang out and have fun) with fellow christians.

I myself have gone through many parishes in my time and have met some very admirable people. Including a good friend of my family who helped me rediscover my faith in God and understand it better. I guess that's why the pedophilia bothers me so much. The priests and church staff I have known have all been admirable and intelligent men who spoke very well.
lol Atheists know more than anybody who believes in god.
I guess we knew so much about how crazy and unrealistic it was that it drove us all away XD
i dont know what sto say since im atheist
I dont identify myself with any religon. I do believe in god, what i know about my faith is just theories or ideas that i have about god. There are many interesting questions id like to ask god, maybe ill get the chance one day.

no, faith relies on personal authority and interpretation more than anything
Why do so many who consider themselves "faithful" not know about their own religion or other religions of the world?
see above
What do you know about your faith?
nearly everything, i have studied theosophy and comparative religion as well as most meta-religions such as thelema. christian mysticism is especially interesting to me.
Thoughts?
average people are of average intelligence and know an average amount about the world
not surprising or even discussion worthy
