You can do it directly from flash itself...go to file>export>export movie>then pick the name of the file you want it to be and file type. You should probably either use a .MOV or .AVI
Hope this helps!

What version are you talking about? AVI is not one of the choices and the other one you said just makes the ''flash 8 has stopped working'' thing pop up.

exporting as avi or mov files is pretty glitchy in older versions of flash. I've tried it out on CS5 and so far had no problems. If you can't get it to work on your flash, you would have to export as an swf and then import that file into a movie editing program then export it again as a mov or avi file.

Any video editing software can do it. Adobe Premiere, Avid, Final Cut and etc. One thing I do to avoid anything going wrong with an export in flash, is exporting a jpeg sequence and then I just import all the jpegs in Adobe Premiere and export it out. I haven't tried the export in CS5 yet for avi and mov, but I'm pretty sure they will do a bitter job than the older versions. If I remember I think they say they still drop frames during conversion though if they need too

this may help http://dahakka.deviantart.com/#/d2zljsn

as for the 'flash stopped working' thing, i have had similar experiences with flash 8. its been a while since i used it but somewhere in the publishing swf settings you need to chose flash 5 formats. then after you export to mov or avi it should be ok. still i remember it being very touch and go with flash 8 pro and basic.

I'm pretty sure you can upload .SWF files on youtube.
And you can then link the youtube to your facebook.

youtube doesn't take swf. If it did, it would have to convert that file into something it can accept but that would be an even bigger hassle than just doing it yourself.
