COMPLETE edition of the interactive "choose next panel" comic
4.07 / 5.00 13,902 ViewsWe've done a few figurine contests in the past(see links below) and I wanted to try something new and more 'newgrounds' this time. This time the figurine we're working with is none other than the tankmen figurine.
The goal of the contest is to take the tankmen mold and either repaint it or alter it to come up with something new and creative (you can use the brick base or not). The best ones of the lot win some cash/prizes and everyone ends up having fun and peeling themselves away from their computers. I've you've never participated in these types of contests, youre really missing out, cause they tend to be alot of fun.
Like past competitions, the contest is split into two phases, phase one is optional and only for those who want to score a sponsored figurine.:
Phase 1: You can take the outline version of the tankmen figurine, which you can download here:
transparent PNG
Draw up what your vision of what a customized tankmen figurine might look like if you were to have the figurine 'sponsored'. At the end of Phase 1, we'll ship out complimentary figurines to the most promising concepts.
Phase 2: This phase is the actual creation phase, if you already had a tankmen figurine to work from or you decided to purchase your own, then you can get a headstart and skip phase 1 of this contest. Once youre finished you mail it over to the office before the deadline so that we can do the photo shoot and judging process.
============================
Heres some deadlines for you:
Phase 1 - Oct 10, 2010
Phase 2 - Nov 6, 2010 (tentative)
*Keep in mind that this deadline is for when the figurines should be back in the office. Not the final day you can send it in. (there is some flexibility if you have some sort of catastrophic reason)*
Questions / Comments / WIP's / finished pieces can go in this thread

Yeah I couldnt open it either (using cs3) I resorted to the png
What I love about Johnny Utah`s art is that he has such original characters, everytime he goes that extra mile to create something genuinely new.
i would do it but luis hates me and would throw my tank man away :'(

Boo, I actually wanted to try and drag mine out for a whole year and not give mine back until Pico Day.
I've been lazily working on mine for awhile now, picking it up and working on it when i'm not busy. I like how it's coming along, just blocking in color. I've finally decided what I'm actually doing with it though, so if I'm not lazy I could be done soon....ish. :D
Not happy with his helmet anymore, most likely going to repaint it.
super sweatbands!
oh... just to make sure no one does the same as me, im doing stampers Girls-of-war
And heres a link to the picture if you dont know what im on about :3
I don't want my Tankman all messy. I guess I'll have to by another one...

Prob two, since you can put that into a larger variety of poses.
Also modelling that would be much easier than the reconstructive surgery you're gonna need to perform on that guy's hand.

yea he did, but my penis is prettier :P
Well, I can't do Phase two since I've never done any figurines (I have one of those big boxes full of Warhammer stuff that I've only managed to put together, never done colouring or played the game)
Well, early WIP, going to make more fast concepts and then begin to do some bigger changes, like posing and additional items.

Inspired by the Mad Max marathon from last night....
If I get it, I will go by the right one unless I can't find anything to use or I find it looks horrible when done.

OH S*** GHILLIE SUIT!!! Now I want to do something. So I SHALL!!
This is relevant to my interests.
Hmmmm.
I love my generation! And to show my appreciation I came up with a Hipster theme for my Tankman!
Even if my concept is not selected, I just wanna say I had a lot of fun coming up with different ideas for this contest!
