Trying to do something new.

Hey, I've visited newgrounds for years now but only recently decided on joining. I really like to look at the art portal because it's a great way to see all kinds of contemperary art that real everyday people are doing. This picture however done in 2009 was a big breakthrough on my own art. I want to be able to mix the almost unsetteling side of sur-realism, with beauty, but without any cracks. I want them to be fluid in the same picture. Seeing this picture, does anyone have any criticism that will help me do this further?

In order to achieve great sur-realism you need to master realism first. Practice drawing simple objects realisticly, understand the principles of lighting, shading, perspective and depth. Once you understand those concepts, you'll be able to tweak them at your ease to create your own style.

You're on the right path though. Keep on practicing...draw every day and you'll achieve your goal quickly :D

Thnx, I have been. This was done in 09, but I'm not making excuses. I know I have a lot to learn, and I will keep going. Hopefully be an art teacher...thats the plan.
