Hey gamers. I need a new computer, preferably a Dell or HP. My budget is 1,200$
I want a good gaming computer with a good graphics card, and a lot of space. (Minimal Lag)
I also want it to last a while, and I want the computer to be very quiet. (The one I have now is so loud!)
I figured since a lot of people here play games and stuff, you could help.

Just build one, its a lot cheaper and you generally get a better system than what you could if you just bought one.

Like the two before me said, you can do an awful lot with that much money if you D.I.Y.

Depends on where you get the parts and whether your paying for a new copy of Windows. I'm finding it annoyingly common to find self building isn't cheaper when you factor in the cost for Windows 7
And of course, if anything goes tits up then you have no warranty to back you up and replace the parts.

I'm still using XP, so I have no idea what win7 costs, it should be around $150 though? Eh, you could always pirate a copy if your that cheap. Or go Linux.

most of the individual parts themselves have warranties. Just make sure you keep the receipts for everything since that is usually needed to fulfill the warranty requirements.

I have vista and windows 7 OP disks. So I can install it. The thing is, I am retarded when it comes to computer parts, and I'd probably have to get someone to help me if I wanted to build my own. < Thats the problem. I don't know any computer-ish ppl.
