4.07 / 5.00 13,902 ViewsHey Newgrounds, my brother was playing on my ps3 yesterday, and by some retarded idea he decided it would be funny if he restored my PS3. So today I turn on the ps3, only to find all of my saved game data, PSN ID and trophies, and pictures I had on the ps3 all gone. You can imagine I'd be in a good mood right? The thing that made me really upset is that I had put family vacation photos on my ps3 which I had backed up on my computer, but since my computer crashed and now my ps3 has been rebooted those memories are most likely gone now.
Is there any way to restore my ps3 back to it's former glory? The ps3 has asked me to update to its newest firmware but I havent yet in case I might screw any chance of restoring it for good. If someone can tell me a way i will be ETERNALLY in your debt. Anyway thanks for reading my desperate plea for help.

It's been restored. That means its been returned to its original state. There's no cure. I might be wrong.

Pretty much, your ps3 has been restored to it's factory settings. That means it's erased anything you've ever downloaded onto it. Your PSN account still exists, and with that your trophies should be preserved, you'll just have to resync it. Your photos and anything else you had downloaded to the HDD is gone though, nothing you can do about it.
You can redownload any games that you've purchased by accessing your download history in your account settings.
K thanks for the answers guys. Got my PSN restored and all my downloadadble games. Now comes the long journey of re-finishing final fantasy 13 again :P

I pity you for deciding on that. Oh well, the problem is as solved as it's going to get.
