Some people still live the illusion that the Iphone is an unique gadget, but that was years ago, now there are many alternatives, what do you think is the best smartphone that isn't an Iphone?
I'd go for either HTC or Samsung's latest models

I have a couple friends with the HTC Desire (I believe) and the Samsung Galaxy (I think). Of the two phones, they seem to prefer the Samsung. One of the guys with the Desire has said on numerous occasions that he's rather have the Galaxy.
I'd quite like one of these phones myself, but you generally only seem to get them on contract, and I don't use them enough to justify paying those prices.

iPhone has never been the best smartphone when it comes to specifications. It has simply been the one with the most applications.

The Droid 2. I swear I'm in love with this phone. It does everything I ask.
And unlike the iphone, I can play flash games or watch flash movies like a pro.
I respond to every message!

My friend has the HTC HD2, which is just fantastic. However I'm about to buy the Nokia N8, which is even more fantastic.
I'd go for that one.
