I have a WIP pic of the Palin peace but I'd rather finish it before I upload it here.

Check out the stencil/sticker work I did though. This is my first attempt at spraying onto stickers but I'm happy with the results. This isn't the best picture and the crap lighting + clear coat makes the black look a little "iffy" but it looks like a solid layer of black in person.

I'd love some feedback on this work though. Again, most of what I post here is my hobby art and styles I'm trying to develop, but I'll show a few examples of my work for school and what-not.

And here's a little of that. It's all my work for a media layout class, logo done in illustrator, the rest of this 8.5x11" design in photoshop. If it's not obvious yet, I fucking love the rising sun effects.

More street art stuff. Some of my black pigeon lithographic prints on newsprint. You can see the ones I cut out and the stack I still needed to cut. I'm kind of pissed that the stone I had this etched into got ruined, so I can't print anymore exactly like this.

The newsprint is thin enough for these to be wheat-pasted and last a while.

Another stencil sticker. I designed the stencil with more detail but cutting it this small meant losing a lot of that and bridging more gaps just to keep a little strength in the stencil itself. It's a 3 layer, and if I feel motivated and confident that I could get rid of it once it's finished, I might do it poster-board size on canvas, but I don't want to waste the time, effort, and money if it's just going to sit.

I have a few more ideas I want to put on canvas, really grunging and abstracting topics. I really try not to work with pop bullshit that any joker can pull out a stencil of, but I got bored at work and made the design and felt like cutting and spraying something. I promise to be more original, whatever that means in this day and age.

I took a lithIography class last semester, but I think you can find limestone in a few places... Flea markets, art vendors, people who specialize in it. The press would be harder to find, I would think, but if your art class has one available you should jump on that. Printing is a pretty crazy thing to get into. Most people will never do it in their lives, but it's convenient if you're into certain things.

This was a modeling project for sculpture class a year or so ago. This wasn't my first experience working with clay, but it was my first time working with sculpey and trying to model a figure. It was an alter-ego project and I went for a cyberpunk theme.

Here's one of the hind-end. The finished version has a gun and a base with it but I must not have pictures of that part yet.

This is an older one, one of my first true stencil on canvas pieces.

Spray paint and hand painting from a while back when I was altering over the spray to make into something recognizable. Thus, the planet eater was born. If I could go back with some of these pieces, I think I'd rather have the backgrounds alone.

Colors are a little off in the picture. It's more of a hot pink that works better with the boobs. This is ink and paint on the back of a Strathmore pad cover

Eat really irks me when fellow stencil artists call themselves street artists because they're using a style they typically see from people like Banksy and Fairey. Spraying a stencil on a canvas makes you no more of a street artist than strumming a guitar makes me a rock star.

I like that one, looks like a tree root (I think it is).

Im not a fan of the paintings and clay figures.. But those stencils look really nice.. Cool stuff.

Unfortunately, the sentence you wrote "Ceci n'est une mur" does not work.
It's kind of awkward like saying "This is not wall" , and you used the feminine form for a masculine word. Correct saying would have been "Ceci n'est pas un mur".

Damn that free translator! Well luckily I'm not French either, so it works for me. It translated n'est as "not" and pas as "not" so I left one out for the sake of balance. As long as it's readable that's good, broken as it may be. I didn't even think to account for the feminine/masculine part of the language. Thanks for letting me know though, for sure. I wish I'd have taken the time to ask a French speaking person ahead of time.

Did this today experimenting with sticker design.. Not the design so much as the colors. And apparently facebook has problems properly displaying squares.

I'm kind of far behind updating this thread. When I get a break from my big Google SketchUp job I'll post more.
