Liberty and Justice for NONE
Do you like The Beatles? Do you like zombies? If yes, you're going to love what I'm working on right now. I'm about 12 hours deep so far.
This is a sample. This project is going on 16 hours of work. Not a drop of paint yet though.
sick sick sick sick!!!!!
it all looks so good so far.
I made a font! I call is Str8 Jacket. I'm going to offer it for free on my website when I update it.
I'm working on another at the moment.

Not a fan of the way B looks.

Ah, it was the second letter I made in this program. Didn't know how to do negative space yet, but I figured it out.
Zombie Beatles - Let Them Feed
Click this if you don't get the reference.
Each panel is 2'x2' spray paint on masonite. When I can sell this one I'll be doing another with colored backgrounds. When I see how that works, I'll sell it and make one with the UV reactant paint colors for backgrounds. A lot of time and energy put into this, and it's definitely paid off.
I'll make sure to get a shot when they're put on a wall and properly spaced etc.
This was a project for my 3D foundations class for "fashion/function". Somewhere there's supposed to be a video from the whole show and these in action. Made of cardboard and hot glue, two 9v batteries powering a fan (cardboard and a small engine) in the center and the lights on each leg. Switches at the top turn them on and off.
It took a long long time to finish and the sleep deprivation left me with the flu. This was about a year or two ago.
I don't know why I didn't post this one yet. It was among the first of my stencil on canvas pieces. It's a little rough. There are a few things I know I need to fix. The white stripes at the top and bottom though, I'm not sure about "fixing" or not. I like that they're not perfect completely white lines, and I think it helps the little bit of grunge to the piece and theme overall the way they are now, but I don't know if it just makes the piece look like I'm too lazy to go over them until they're white and solid.
I've been posting a lot and I could definitely use some feedback.
Kind of a WIP seeing what I could do with this idea digitally before I work with it in paint. I'm thinking about doing some simple landscapes and cityscapes layering different parts.
I've sent a few of my more modest pieces and a few crayonstone lithographs I haven't shared here in to be juried. I'll know if any of them were chosen to be purchased by next week. Also, another lithographic print made it into an annual art and literary magazine for publication. I'll find out in may if I placed 1st-3rd or honorable mention. I look forward to a small cash prize either way.
Ooh, nice. What magazine?
And good luck with the pieces being accepted!
Some great stuff man, interesting. Those robot legs :D Very cool. the font is great too, I liked the caps better but it's all good. People don't realize how much work goes into making a great/readable font.

Thanks, I appreciate it! My university publishes it annually to highlight the arts and literary programs.
I've been taking a little break from my art work over the past few weeks starting the new semester, but I've been hard at work rigging up a prototype for something I've wanted to get into for a long time.
LED night photography lighting prototype
This is a prototype I wired up of a lighting tool for night photography. In the future versions, RGB and white LEDs will be used and a controller to switch colors. I'll also add adjustable brightness and a variable strobe effect for a variety of uses and options.
You might also notice the wrapped up thumb as a result of half of an x-acto blade slicing through it. Safety first, use your head. Bitches get stitches, the DIY man gets his superglue and duct tape
It's a cheap build, uses very little power and creates little heat. The lights work in extreme environments and you can't ask for much more.
It's not my work but if you want to check out some awesome examples that inspired me to do this since high school, check out Lost America.
Since the dawn of photography, some assholes has used a camera to take cliche pictures and called themselves photographers, pissing off professional photographers to no end. Unfortunately, I'm one of those assholes.
But if you critique me, I will grow.
A Steampunk inspired wallpaper. I'll give a link to the full size hi-res version when I decide it's perfect.

Shut up and draw something.

I might try to work some rust into the background, but the gears are supposed to be brass.

That last one really worked with my sig. Huh. Here's a vector of Dark Tooth from Twisted Metal. I don't know if I'll do stencils for these or not, but it wouldn't be hard.

and whatever mod comes across my god awful posting, please take care of these last few mistakes

Hoppin' on the bandwagon, but I deliver.
And in the process of doing that, the real portrait was pretty nice.

I tried Sheen..... I was underwhelmed.
I'm really getting a kick out of making these vectorized stencil designs. It's cheaper than making every one of them into a stencil and praying on canvas so until I get the means and the time to do it, I might just keep this up for a little bit.
