3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsI've been trying to submit audio recordings i did by myself with my mp3 player. They are saved as Wav. I converted them to mp3. But i still need to convert it to 44.1 kHz which i need help to do so if any of you guys know anything that would help alot.
More info that might help is when i submit the audio it says its invalid so my only guess to why it would be like that is because its not 44.1 kHz.
I'm using Switch Sound File Converter, which just converts it to .mp3 as far as i know. I can change Bitrate (kbps) and thats about that allows me to do. If you have a program anyone can recommend? Anything would help i guess, anything to help me convert of figure the settings. I do have a wavepad sound editor. Which is only really used for giving the audio effects. And gives me the same settings as the converter does. as far as i know it only does that.

Yeah I used that program before; it only changes the bit rate of the MP3, and you can only change the sample rate for .wav files.

Try using Audacity:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
Download it, open up the MP3 in the program.
On the left of the window where it says "Stereo, XXXXX kHz" (it's to the left of the track), click on it, go all the way to the bottom, click "Set Rate >", and select 44,100 kHz. Then stop the track, wait for a few seconds for it to adjust and save the file.
You also need the LAME file to export it as an MP3:
http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/Lame_v3.98.2_f or_Audacity_on_Windows.exe
That's one suggestion I have to change bit rate. If it doesn't work, then I'm sure someone else has another suggestion.
