Hey Newgrounders, I'm building a new computer and I'm wondering what the best graphics card I can get for $200 or less is. Right now I'm looking at this. I would rather have nvidia over ATi but it doesn't really matter.
Thanks,

You made a good choice. I wouldn't choose anything else. You could also look at the XFX brand 460's as they havehttp://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/post/r eply/1199340# a great trade-in policy.

Well what about msi's? They're version is supposed to have really good cooling and its a bit cheaper which is always nice. The only downside I've found is it doesn't look as good.. XP

For about $199.99 you can get this one. Radeon 5830 1GB GDDR5 with CrossfireX support.

That page is ANCIENT (few months old). Prices have changed, a couple new cards are out, and that list would be a lot different now.
I would definitely get an EVGA GTX 460. The one you linked to has a 2 year warranty, but this one has a lifetime warranty and happens to be the same price at the moment. You'll end up paying a few more bucks for the shipping, but it also happens to have a $10 rebate which, if you bother doing, would make it cheaper than the card you linked to and still have the lifetime warranty.
Just make sure you don't forget to register the card when you receive it.

What you linked was a already superclocked card (aka 40+$ for a 5 minute clock from a base card)
Imo, save some money, buy the non-overclocked version and do it yourself, EVGA has a very simple precision tool that will allow you to clock it yourself (just set it to the overclocked cards speeds and there you go), If you want more clocking, then go ahead, As long as your not fiddling with the voltages, it should last just as long as a non-overclocked card, Find a forum with some clocks and find a good one, EVGA usually ships the best clockable cards, some are better than others, etc.
Good luck, n shit, I need to buy a card myself soon, my 260 is starting to struggle with the newer games, Might go double 275's :3

That's USUALLY true, but you're missing out on a few things...
Firstly OP linked to a stock card to begin with when there's actually a superclocked card that's $10 cheaper, or $20 cheaper if you include a rebate. That sort of throws your whole point out the window.
Also, EVGA, while being one of the best companies warranty and customer-service wise, does have confusing SKUs on their products sometimes. As far as I know, there are NO stock-clocked EVGA GTX 460s that have a lifetime warranty. Only part numbers that end in 'AR' (e.g. 768-P3-1362-AR, like what I linked to) have it. Those that end in 'TR' only have two years. This is really important to some people, and not as much to others.
OP might also not want to overclock their card. The card I linked to will A) Get you slightly higher speeds for someone who doesn't care to overclock, B) A lifetime instead of a 2-year warranty and C) Gets you both A and B for a really small premium, or actually less money than OP linked to if you factor in the rebate.
Two year warranties vs lifetime warranties isn't important to everyone. In that case, here is a card that's $10 less than the one I first linked to. There are some other manufacturers you can buy from for a little less money (Gigabyte, ASUS, etc) but, in my opinion, god forbid you ever have a problem with the card because those companies don't really compare to the service EVGA gives you.

Shit, I haven't looked at computer stuff for ages, Although I don't know why you were further explaining how EVGA was the best (Oy I said that already :P).
