Well i decided to take over the CHOW's...if you have any ideas on next chow etc do pm me, if you hate the idea of me taking em back without asking...Tough shit they died.
the reason i put nsfw is cause i did.

Art rules
- No ms paint
- Humanoid creatures only (arms legs hands etc)
- Must be related to theme
- No other creatures unless they are the secondary focus of the piece

- Character must be original unless otherwise stated.

- Only one finished piece per person will be accepted into voting
- Work in progresses can be posted in this thread
- Finished pieces will also go in this thread. Be sure to link to any larger versions on the art portal.
- No uploading old art. While I might not be able to prove you did, it defeats the point - to learn and have fun.
- Make sure you put effort in. Art that clearly took no effort will not be eligible for voting.

CHOW stands for Character of the Week.
Way back, the art forum used to do a lot of weekly competitions (for fun).
So for CHOW, you have to design a character that follows the week's theme.

I have a good idea for this (I think, anyways. Maybe I'll start to dislike it after it sits in my head for a bit), but I have to wonder: Do the characters have to have human faces as well? I intend to have entirely human bodies, but I want to do something special with the faces.
Just looking for verification.

No response. Blech. I went ahead and did some lineart anyways; I'd like approval/disapproval of this before I actually move forward to making it look half-decent.

Any comments/critiques on it are certainly welcome, too.

The idea is that the moon is waning out of existence, just to clarify. Not sure if it comes across as well in execution as it seemed in my mind, but ah well.

I gave up on doing this digitally. Painter was giving me hell and bugging up, and when I colored the whole piece and then instantly lost all the data due to a crash, I said "fuck it" and started over, in pencil this time. Pencil doesn't bug up and make me want to punch my screen.
I don't know how pencil is looked at for CHOWs, but I guess I'll find out.

wow luxembourg the concept is really awesome and the rendering in pencil adds to the charm. i think pencil's are definitely allowed. don't think the medium is really important. it's all about the concept and yours is awesome concept my friend.
