I'm using dazzle to capture footage on my xbox 360 and ps2 and using pinnacle studio 14 HD to put on my laptop but I don't know how to make it high quality, can anyone help.

I've tried looking on youtube but most seem to be of earlier versions and the few I have found, I've still been unable to get good quality

Are you using A/V cables or an S-Video input? Using an S-Video input produces a much higher quality video signal. If you are, check the software and see what settings it records on.

You'll have to excuse me if I'm dumb or something, I don't know much about Dazzle hardware/software.

That may be the problem.

Those would be A/V Cables. S-Video is supposed to give you better quality.

I'm a little confuses, the pictures of s-video cables I'm finding look nothing like A/V Cables.

To my knowledge, S-Video cables will not look anything like A/V Cables. You plug the S-Video into the one slot nobody ever uses on their Dazzle, and then into the display (assuming it supports S-Video). I personally do not use an S-Video cable, and use Sony Vegas to render my captured footage in a high quality. I record in MPEG-2, which is fairly large, but gives great quality.

I render the footage as .WMV, due to the fact that it is a small file size with high quality end results. Give it a go and see how it works. If you use Vegas, use a custom resolution of 960x540 - it gives a good sized video with good quality.
