Most powerful weapon in Oblivion?

Umbra is the most powerful one-handed blade weapon. But, if you have SI the most useful weapon in the game is Dawnfang/Duskfang, because it's enchanted, and every time it changes it's form it recharges and repairs itself.

umbra is actually not the best one-handed weapon. The best one its by enchanting one with a oblivion ball thingy thing

Amber Warhammer, if you've got the Shivering Isles DLC. With 100 Blunt, and with the health of the weapon at 125, the weapon does base damage of 33 or 34. Add a Sigil Stone enchantment to it, and you're good to go.

Plus, the amber hammer looks like a legit hammer. :P

I'd have to go with umbra.

Mace of Doom, even though you have to be a cheating bastard to get it. What's strange is that it's possible to get it on the Consoles. I forgto exactly what it does, but it deals a TON of fire damage, and has a 20,000 charge.

If you get the Wizard's Tower DLC there is a glitch that gets you into a prototype village that didn't make it into the final game.
The village is packed with a fuckload of soul gems and the Mace of Doom, which has a competely retarded fire enchantment that kills pretty much anything in one hit and has a massive charge to boot.
