Well Newgrounds. Here's the story.

It all started whenever I was 14. I met a girl who to me, was very special. She was always a close friend to me and I adored her. Around the turn of 9th grade she started dating a guy on and off for about two years. He mistreated her all the time. Cheated on her all the time. Was just an overall dick to her. They finally broke up for good about a month ago. I was always there for her when this guy would fuck her over, and I was there whenever she finally decided to break it off. I was always there for her when she needed me. She tells me she loves me and how important I am to her and how much I helped her out. I did it all out of the goodness of my heart, I really cared about her.

Today, I found out my friend talks to her behind my back and that she asked him to homecoming. And he agreed. He was gonna go behind my back and take this girl, and one of my other friends told me about it. He knew that I cared about her very much. That I always liked her. I told him to make a decision. He never replied to me or anything.

So i'm sitting here. Idk what to do. Be pissed at her for asking him to homecoming, or be pissed at him for goin behind my back? Or fuck em both?

It sounds to me that she may have told you that she loved you in the sense of the love for a friend without the romantic connotation. Thus, she hasn't done anything wrong by asking your friend out to homecoming seeing as the two of you aren't in a relationship. If you really want this relationship to move forwards, then ask her to be your girlfriend before your friend does.
