By saying nothing is impossible, you are stating that the impossible is possible, therefore nullifying the original statement! Now, tell your parents that they are lying and get on with the next quote! :)

Actually, as a kid, your perception of reality and the way you estimate the possibility of something is seriously skewed, because you never really have done anything serious yet. (usually)
Therefore you render most things as impossible while in truth they are much simpler, for example.

I always thought that I couldn't fly off the roof of our house, my parents assured my it was if I just really wanted to, now I'm completely paralyzed and am typing with my eyes.

I asked my mother whether or not Santa Claus was real when I was 3, after hearing at a kindergarten that he wasn't real. She doesn't believe in lying. I grew up without Santa Claus, I don't feel any less a person for growing up without delusions.
