And something about this doesn't sit right with me for some reason. It seems very unprofessionally made (the contest that is)

You submit and you get chosen by REACTION? and some judges. And then it says you get a record label, but it doesn't name what record label or anything. I could sign someone to a record label I just invented in my head, but it doesn't mean a damn thing.

seems straight up enough to me. you dont lose any song rights by submitting and they contact you and presumably you are presented with a record label contract, I dont think you have to accept it if it doesn't seem like the deal you want either

Well, i submitted something, just for fun.
Not taking it too serious, though, because it will be decided by popularity, and i lack of it.

Interesting... too bad it's not really my sound. If I entered one of my songs it probably lose because it's not the right genre. In fact the one song I heard that I liked was getting poor reaction because it wasn't considered a bass/techno song.
