I'm not a people person and my anxiety goes through the roof at school, even having to go read a paragraph to a teacher while the whole class is in the room working, not even paying attention to me, I freak out, start sweating, just really really bad anxiety. Even around the halls with lots of people in them.
I've spent like three minutes looking it up, but can't really find anything about it for anything in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Anybody know? :(
Yeah, whatever.

You should really sort out you're anxiety problems, mind if I ask how old you are? Just curious, because if you're a teenager, then social development is an extremely important factor in you're life. I'd strongly reccomend trying to sort of you're own problems first.
Sitting in front of a chair working on slideshows, I've done it before. Don't do it, just drop out.

Yeah I'm still a teenager. Sixteen.
I've had anxiety clinically when I was young but then I just told them I didn't want to do anything about it after taking medication for about half a year, it made me gain a lot of weight and turned me into a zombie.
The pills apparently helped anxiety and depression.
Then I just got pills for depression when I was like 13.
So, I do have a history with anxiety but all the help just seems to be shoving pills down mouths, and I refuse to do that anymore.
Yeah, whatever.

You sound like me two years ago. I recommend just smacking your problem head on. I was the same way. Nervous, depressed, and antisocial. I went to "professionals" who knew nothing except how to fill out prescriptions. They didn't help at all. So about 6 months ago I flushed all the pills and just went out and did whatever I dreaded the most. So far, it's been working.
Yeah, pills and shit you get prescribed, most of the time, are bad news. The only person who can truly sort this out is you. If you have any idea where this could have stemmed from, and developed, you could probably quash it. You should try looking up PMA, and if you want to, try smoking weed some time with a couple of people you feel cool around. Social Interaction could probably cure this.

Lol, man I smoke weed around the people I talk to. At school I talk to about two people regularly and actually have conversations with them, aside from those two people I only talk to people when they talk to me.
I smoke weed with my friends I know outside of school too. I just don't like the people at school, can't stand them. I don't know where the problems could have come from, probably just my childhood.
Yeah, whatever.

This is good advice, you should probably do this instead of trying to avoid it.

You don't need drugs though...

I don't want to start a flame war or anytihng, but drugs (especially cannabis) can have extremely positive effects on people when they are in the right state or mind, it could probably really help him, but then again it's his choice to choose. I'd reccomend it though, unless you do or currently have, I'd lay off it for a bit until you feel good in you're own mind.
Wait, you're like 16? Who the fuck were you to tell me I can't drop out.
In my old thread, teenagers thinking they know what is best for someone they never met.
I know exactly what your problem is, and ended up resorting to the exact same solution.
But, alas, after a bit of Googling, which you obviously did as well, I've been unable to come up with anything regional to you.
Which is a bit odd to me, to be honest. I had quite a few choices here.
Perhaps you could find something that's more nationwide? It would probably be expensive, though.

You're 16 too and I've already dropped out for a year of my life, having to repeat the grade I should have already passed, it's bullshit and you're making a mistake from dropping out. You just say the shit is too easy, ask for harder work, ask for this years work and next years work, then you can have spares next year, hell of a lot smarter than dropping out. I'm not thinking I know what is best for you or anybody I've never met, I'm just giving my input, exactly what you do every time you respond to something on here. Dumbshit.
Yeah, whatever.

i saw this commercil on tv, it had a Y in it...
i don't know about canada but it should be the same as what i did i was homeschooled for highschool both online and offline it really helped me with my anxiety problems since i got more time to think alone and sort out my relationship problems and start talking to more people.
i would say have your parent or guardian call up your school my mom would have to send all the papers i typed or hand written to the school and talk over how i've been doing.
they also have different learning programs you can try out!
I'm kind of going through the same sort of "alienation". And yeah, it sucks. But maybe try some self confidence exercises? They can really help without turning you into a total douche.
Do what you want, stay in school, go online, drop out. Whichever works. If someone needs to hire someone, I'm pretty sure they'll hire whoever will do the job. GED is no different than getting a diploma in school.
Lives underwater
I know you can take online classes here or you could also just get your GED. Sorry, not sure about Canada and I'm not going to bother looking since I doubt I'd be able to find anything considering at least a couple people have looked already.
The sig that I'm wearin? Awesomely made by Skaren!
Also, I like annoying Americans by calling English football "real football" and American football "rugby".-Lost-Chances
For the last half of my last academic year, I participated in a distance learning program. I had been at my school for numerous years, had almost graduated; but then had to leave suddenly. Instead of throwing all of the work down the drain, I decided to continue my course with the school, albeit in a different country.
The school would email me work which I would complete and then email back, it was all quite simple really. However, I'm not sure if your school would be able to offer the same services.
