Autotune, know of any? 2010-09-12 17:42:32 Reply

Hey guys. I'm looking for a good autotune to use. I've heard of a few I could use, like Garageband and Gsnap, but I want to know if anyone else knows of anything better.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

You have to draw the line of determination from desperation. What is truly yours would eventually be yours, and what is not, no matter how hard you try, will never be.

This, or accept a universe in which audio is never perfectly in tune. Even a perfectly intune guitar is slightly out of tune with itself. Partials, inharmonicty is PART of music. This has only stopped in the past 10 years and I think it's fucking bizarre. Along with volume. And tempo changes. But apparantly no one listen to drone music.

I expected replies like this, but I do sing. I just want a autotuner so I can cover some songs that use it.

Gsnap - As effective as it is FREE

Sometimes, it would rain men. "Hallelujah!", we would cry. Thousands were killed.

This. Gsnap is awesome. If you use FL, I can guide you through using midi input...

Garageband is a low tier daw.

If you scrolled down a bit someone made a post about this moments ago, googling "autotune" yields some helpful results too.

are you looking for something free? cause most of them are crap. I hear Gsnap is pretty good.. Though, i've never used it myself. My preference would be either waves tune or melodyne. Melodyne is a a lot more natural, but no really super user friendly.. Take a while to get it figured, but definitely the more natural sounding tuning software. I like wavestune a lot though, thats what I've been using. Sometimes theres some obnoxious artifacts.. but if you play with it long enough you learn how to mask it.
