What scares you at night?

I mean if you're in your bed and watchin' some t.v. or about to fall asleep, what scares you?
I get scared shitless whenever the icemaker in my fridge drops the ice into its' container,
and when the floorboards creak mysteriously.

This, and the boiler is right next to my room and constantly makes creaking noises.
There is sometimes a big bang from outside or a noise that sounds like it came from my garden.
But it's generally just my cats jumping on the fence or something.
Although, these past few weeks I've heard quite a lot of screams in the distance, which makes me suspicious.

Never get scared on a night by things which should scare me; like creaking floors and horror films. For some reason the only thing that ever creeps me out on a night is watching one of those UFO documentary things. For some reason whenever I watch one I always feel like somebody is watching me. Should probably stop watching them.

I generally do this by thinking about horror films or occasionally a nightmare I may have had recently.

When I open anything i.e., shower curtains, doors, and there's nobody else downstairs. I always think there's going to be like something scribbled on the wall.
Or when I absent-mindedly look in the mirror when I'm tired as fuck brushing my teeth, and my vision goes out of focus and my face looks all creepy.
