I'm running a PC, and recently I've been getting a lot of bluescreens. I opened up the case, everything seems to be plugged in, I checked the cards, the ram, the HDD, cores, etc.
So I still have the problem and I run diagnostics through BIOS. It says that the RAM is the problem, but the "area of error" is BIOME- 1.
Anyone knows what this means? Should I get new ram? Or are the motherboard ports fucking up?
I can give more info if anyone asks for it.
I just really don't want to waste money on RAM if the ports are the problem.

I think you should post that in the Where is/How to section. The people there are much more friendly and willing to help.
K, I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
also, I wasn't expecting friendly. I was just hoping I wouldn't get a bunch of computer illiterate retards asking what OS I am running when the HDD has nothing to do with this.

Sure it doesn't.
Just Patch KDE2 under FreeBSD on your Ubuntu and eat a dick.
This is simplest method for isolating a failing modules, but may only be employed when one or more modules can be removed from the system. By selectively removing modules from the system and then running the test you will be able to find the bad modules. Be sure to note exactly which modules are in the system when the test passes and when the test fails.

If this post was made after September 12th it makes me more of a liar.
I don't know much about it, but I think blue screens are when your computer is preventing itself from starting up because it thinks some hardware, software, or a driver will fuck it up. Have you installed anything new recently or made any changes?
My girlfriend was hooking up her printer with some old drivers and her computer blue screened but it was easy to fix because we knew what the problem was.
