NG Store Ads

Don't you think these ads are starting to get annoying? These aren't the regular advertisements; these ads are placed in straight from the admins. They advertise the store. Sure, the store is awesome, but do they really have to put these ads in, when there's a link to the store in almost every page on the site.

Do they annoy you?

P.S. I'm not abusing these ads; I'm just saying that they are annoying.

Some browsers (such as my own, Camino) have ad block built in by default. As far as i'm aware, the majority of money raised via advertisements is via click throughs, given that I never click online advertisements, then it's unlikely they would have made any money regardless.

They say, that if you block the advertisements, which is the way they can keep up the site, and company, then you should buy something, so they get the money anyway.

I actually click ads that interest me every now and again - haven't done so in a while, but the ads aren't really aimed at BBS users so much as those worthless users who browse the site in their thousands.

So yeah, I'm actually finding that store placement funny - it knows perfectly well that you're blocking the ads is telling you off for it, not demanding that you buy something instead. Besides, I've bought some NG merch, so I should be in the clear :3

I barely even notice the ads. I never click on them, but I don't go to the trouble to block them. This site's good, and they do indeed deserve the money to keep it running. So sure, I'll let them spam annoying web-based MMOs on my screen. It's not like I care.

Or you could use a debit card, which is far different than using a credit card. A debit card would take it directly from your bank account meaning your basically paying with cash. Don't have a bank account or a credit card then chances are you can't buy anything online anyway.

How can they be annoying? Not like they are pop ups or make annoying sounds/grow larger when you hoover over them. In fact, they are probably the least annoying ads the site has.
