Me? No, but my friend tries to say he is.
I don't think you understand what Communism means.
I live in the good ol' U.S of A. So no, I am not communistic.

I'm that lazy bastard who doesn't bother to take down his damn Christmas lights. I still have the fucking kriss-kringle hats from last year!

If it's about the picture, I had to find something witty or confusing to post because threads like these withought pictures don't work very well.
I apologize in advance.
yes i am and i also get along with anarchists pretty well!
More than blatantly obvious that I'm the only one in thid thread who was born into a Communist nation.
Yeah, the American propaganda from back in the day looks chessy and funny, now. But doesn't change the fact that Communism was a huge threat to national security back then. And it wasn't just about differing views from two different nations. Back in the day, in Communist Russia and right before it fell; the late-night knock on the door was very real. And when Ivan or Eva disappeared, the next morning . . . Everyone pretended that Ivan or Eva never existed.
Just how it was.

No, I'm not a communist. Also I don't hate communism. In theory, communism is great. Problem is that we live not on a sheet of paper. Capitalism has some downfalls, but at least it embraces the realistic expectations of human behavior, that people are generally out for themselves. That's not to say that letting people do whatever they want, laissez faire style is right, because it will get abused, but at least with capitalism if people find out they're getting screwed and get pissed off the company will have to change or go under, whereas in communism the government will just cause some "unfortunate accidents," oh, well I mean they don't cause them they are accidents you know.
Basically capitalism vs communism comes down to who do you want to screw you over? The government or the corporations? Socialism is even worse, because they team up to screw you.

I love you Lagatag.
I am not now, and have never been a member of the Communist Party...
Though I did join the Left Youth like five years ago, and the Left Alliance party last december. But we're democratic socialists, not communists.
Well, I do support Marxism-Leninism, so you could call me a communist.
I am not a communist. However, I think the concept of a classless society is a fundamentally good idea. Whether it can be made to work or not is another question.
My grandgrandgrandgrandgrandfather or something was from Russia. That probably means I have 1% of communism in my blood.
Emphasis are great!
Communism sounds great in theory. The basis behind it, as far as I understand, is that everyone is paid, when they work, according to what they need, rather than what their job is. This idea that everyone is perfectly equal comes into it. Unfortunately, in reality, not everyone is equal. It's a sad truth, and when not working hard will get you the same amount of money as working hard, why work hard?
In most Communist systems set up around the world, businesses collapse for a lack of incentive for people to work, which requires the government to take action, eventually leading to the government taking full control over the country. What people most this of as Communism is actually closer to Dictatorship, though run on very left-wing principles rather than right-wing. Pure Communism itself does not require the use of a controlling government, but rather causes one through what it does require.
I'm clearly not a supporter of Communism, but I'm not a supporter of Capitalism and Democracy either. Capitalism works, to some degree, but still has many flaws. Democracy has at least one very major flaw: although it allows everyone in the country to have their say, it doesn't take into account the fact that the majority of most populations are made up of idiots and people who can't think ideas through to their consequences. With this taken into account, it means that a Democratic system will, more often than not, not elect the party that will most benefit the country.
In my personal opinion, the best system seen so far in the world is a Benevolent Dictatorship, where the ruler has complete control over the country, but does not use it for his own gain, but rather for the gain of the people. In this way, the government is always strong, but still capable of listening to the people, and acting quickly when in need. The only real problem with this system is the fact that when one Benevolent Dictator steps down or dies, the next leader to take his place may not be Benevolent. However, in a lot of Monarchist systems, such as in ancient China, the majority of it's rulers have been caring enough towards the people.

Haven't been a communist and don't plan on becoming one in the future either.
a day without blood is like a day without sunshine!
Well, I happen to live in good old Australia, which means that, if anything I'm pretty much being a communist in the near future - well, we all to have switch over to being Chinese-nation ass kissers in the future sometime, don't we?
Well, that's mean of me, improving diplomatic relations with Asia is a good idea, but no, I'm not a communist. It's not that I don't like communism, it's just that I'd like to keep my individuality while I'm being screwed over, thanks.
Communism sucks, and I hate Americans who believe in and support communism.
USA FOREVER!

You don't inherit communism. It has to be systematically instilled in you through brainwashing and daily propaganda.

If that's the whole reason for not working, then why not have people who work hard make more, but at the same wage, therefore people can still make more than others, but at the same rate. Technically not equal, but you can still see.

For the country as a whole, yes, Communism works quite well.
The idea is okay, but ultimately flawed as there has to be a leader. "So every one is equal apart from this guy" I also like the whole revolution idea, i think ernesto 'che' guvera was a pretty cool guy, revolting against the government and doesn't afraid of anything.
