I have nothing against Massive Attack. Its a matter of taste in music.
Back to the topic. The only weird band I could think of right now is The Polyphic Spree.
Sigur Ros. They're very odd.. but yet... compelling.
Makes me wish I hadn't sold their cd when I was short on cash a year ago :(.

I don't like all of the songs, but they are still a good band!
Beck has some pretty wierd stuff but he still kicks major ass!
I like wierd bands, weird means different and different means not the same as all the rest, so why the hell would I want to listen to a band that sounds the same as all the others?
If you want another really good band that is weird, check out Primus or Mt. Bungle!

it isnt it just that bands that are not listened to by every second person is good too
I KNOW! everything punk, metal, or similar to that, they all suck to me, maybe one of those band might sound good but more then half of em are posers who try to look cool
The Locust are some weird people... All of their songs have weird names and are never over 2 minutes. I saw them live and they are good though but still a weird band for sure. I am a fan of weird music btw.

I totally agree with you. Different = good. Beck, Primus and Mr. Bungle, and even the Flaming Lops are bands/singers that are really out there yet their stuff is so awesome, which proves your point perfectly. But I'm still unsure about the Polyphic Spree....

Hmmm, I never heard of them, if they are weird I will probably like them. You seem to have a good taste in music, most of the people I am friends with in real life don't know of any of the bands I am into, but about three of my best friends do.
I have around 300 cd's, all of which are laying in the gap between my computer and my bed, so when I want to hear something new I just reach down and put something else on.
I downloaded a few songs by a band called M.I.R.V. they are a really good band also, the flash artist Jim Ether who has many of movies here on Newgrounds also makes good music.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting one of their albums, I used to always hear them on MTV when they made "Fire Starter", though MTV never plays anything good anymore....
