3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsYou know those annoying little kids? The ones on Xbox Live that have the headsets, that NEVER stop talking absolute shit? So Newgrounds, do you think there should there be an age restriction on Xbox Live?
Don't you technically have to be 13, just like Newgrounds and almost every other site? The problem is nobody cares about age restrictions.
On games that are 16+ kids shouldn't be allowed on, they are so fucking annoying screaching down the mic.. but it's up to the parents we cant really control it without going all china style, aint got a problem with kids playing their viva pinata and what not with friends on xbox, fuck it im actually fine with kids playing mature games aslong as they shut the hell up

everybody seems to care about it though when they have an immature kid that is teamkilling...
but no, you don't need to be over 13..
hey isn't the xbox have this red flicking red light though?
sucks for you, i'm sticking with my playstation 2 bro.
Yeah, it's a shame that XBOX live doesn't have some sort of option where I can stop listening.
And it would be great if there were some way I could tell xbox live that I don't want to play with certain people that I have played with and had less than positive experiences with.

I've been playing rated M games since I was 3 yrs old, in 1998, Half-life 1. Now, I'm 14, I still play rated M games, like mw2, bfbc2, MAG, etc, except, I know to keep my mouth shut half the time, and I've already gone through puberty so I don't have a squealish voice, it isn't a matter about age, but about maturity, some 20 yr olds on the game are more annoying.

have parents ever given a shit whether their kid can talk to people though? I mean, If a parent is stupid enough to buy their kid an MA15+ game, then they definitely aren't going to care about whether their kid talks or not.
Because 17-year olds can't be half as annoying, right?

that's true on some cases, but you are definitely one of the first kids I have ever heard about that is like that. But surely bunjie or any other of the game making companies could think up an option that could flag kids from playing a certain game if players give them bad reviews or something?
I grew up playing mature games too, but those were the days where online didn't exist, and you didn't have anyone to bother on the interwebs. The series of tubes was much safer back then.
Actually, our local gamestop sells games of any esrb rating to anybody, they don't care.
Just mute them next time. I don't get how people don't use this feature, instead they decide to argue with them.

That's gay, seeing a video store, (which video's mind you, influence the minds of children far less than video games) won't hire out a movie to a kid if he's underage... WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TO?!?! D:
and also, JackDaBomb, we do use it, or atleast I do, but it's frustrating to take the time out to do it, and also, most of us don't believe they should even be using xbox live...
I'm sure there already is its just that nobody abides it.
I'm almost positive you can mute any player in almost any game...
Or am I wrong?

Yeah you can...but what if he says something funny and everyone laughs, then you'll be left out of the joke.

Hella yeah, bro.
This is about talking on video games. ok.
First of all, on PSN(which is free and better than XBL in some cases) It is looked down upon
to talk on most games.
if you talk, people will hate you. And if you are some annoying 12 year old that shouts and yells
and shit, find something better to do. Most of you classify maturity by age which is not logical because some kids are fucking annoying as Chris Hardwick and others keep their lips closed when the time is right.
I don't think so,because it would be cool igf someone was pwnd by a 7 year old girl.
Emphasis are great!

You're fucking gay.
A vagina is really just a hat for a penis.
I wish there was some sort of feature where you have to take a picture and it shows your age.
Or there were more "mods" patrolling the games (more popular ones) to ban little kids on an "Adult" account

How would one go about enforcing the age limits of Xbox Live's users? There is an age limit to sign-up, and family settings that wont allow M-rated games to be played, if that's what the owner wants. However, there are way around this. One can put in a false name, and turn off the parental block.
Unfortunately, there really isn't a way to regulate the people on Xbox live as far as age limit is concerned. Ultimately, we'd have to rely on parents to say "No" when their child asks for an M-rated game, in order to enjoy age appropriate users. (Not necessarily mature users, but more adult users).
However, I say this as a 15 year old who often plays M-rated games. I enjoy my M-Rated games, but I'd gladly give them up if it meant that every kid under 18 wouldn't be allowed to play those games.

I never talk on xbox live to people i don't know coz tbh they just get annoyed if i kill them or if they kill me they will go on and on about it so i just stopped talking to all the fucking immature little retards on there. I only talk to my friends.
