I dont get it, your art is astonishing, detailed and technical yet I find that ALL your drawings with legs involved have weird legs. theyre thick and not in proportion. How is this possible? is this intentional? I mean you clearly have a good perspective for the upperbody but as soon as you draw something below the belt it goes all weird ass imo....

just my 2 cents, still loving your art.

I'll ensure you that I always tried my best on measuring out the proportions of the leg (though difficult to try to get it right, so many many times, legs are tough and still a difficult body part to remember). There also the traits on whether the thickness of the leg can affect the audience that has many taste on legs. I decided to cut some fat on the leg real quick to see whether you prefer them like this.

well the skinny legs on their own look better, but as you probably have seen yourself the gap between the legs is now to large. I marked some other details that could use improvement (from the original pic). the transition under her shoulder looks a bit off. breasts are cropped together. the blue lines are the same size. her foot is almost as big as her shoulders.

she is just pretty bulky overall and thats good cause then the proportion issues are less noticeable.

Things I'll keep in mind when getting into those things again.

Been a while since I last bump my thread, so I'll post a 30 min warm-up doodles. I always enjoy drawing out a mat na chien binh.

You really need to do figure drawings and study up on your anatomy you're already doing well in the digital domain, the coloring and lighting looks good, but your proportions are very very wrong. Check out Andrew Loopis, if you learn his stuff your art will improve a lot.

Conveniently enough, I already downloaded Andrew Loomis's pdf. Guess I'll start with Andrew Loomis figure drawing.

Thanks, got myself inspired in doing that warm/cool color thing from left to right after seeing many other images similar.

Going to try something out different from my usual approach here.
The plan here is to use this blue sketch thing here and draw a line art, hoping to get clean good looking line art through this trial and error.

On a side note, didn't felt like sleeping early last night and so I drew and it lead to this. Won't finish this anytime soon. Probably be a long term personnel project.

Left my laptop and tablet to be fix by my dad's friend, dunno if he'll fix it or not but we'll see. Til then I'm tablet-less, so I do the next best thing. Laptop trackpad drawing! (plus sketchbook drawings but I'm sometime lazy and prefer to color through the laptop)

Gotta remember to get back to them and clean up any good ones in the future.

I've looked at many similar feeling arts and I guess it rubbed off on me :)

Some coloring experiments on spheres.

The center one is working with a grayscale sphere and applying gradient map adjustment layer.

I ran out of ideas when I reach the bottom right, sooooo good luck guessing that.

Practice makes perfect. Though my favorite quote is "If you don't practice then you will ceased to improved" though I heard that quote from an orchestra teacher, still apply to everything else though.

Anywho, here are some gesture drawings sketches I did for hours. Felt like a roller coaster ride, started out blah..... then I progress to some good pose results real quick then I eventually went blah again. The pics isn't set up in any order so yeah, I started out with 90 sec posemaniac drawings.

Started out as stick figures, most didn't grasp the pose that I'm trying to draw, but I eventually drew the stick form alright but then fleshing them out became difficult.....but then that became alright too (in some cases). I recently notice a pattern or shape, so I began drawing in poses in squares, rectangles, and triangles.

I eventually stop doing 90 sec poses and went with a slideshow. Observing approaches to how to quickly draw the gestures. Overall I guess it's all in the footing or where you're starting to draw (makes a difference which body part you will follow up to draw the pose).

Then I went to lovecastle and drew some female nude poses. Got too tired out to do some male nudes, but I'll get to them in the next time I'm doing gesture drawings.
