Defeat the enormous mechanical beasts--and become one of them.
4.01 / 5.00 42,242 ViewsThat's great news all around Tom! It really is a fun little game.
Relatedly unrelated: So glad Castle Crashers is finally out on PS3, the game is even better and more addictive then I remember it being at the office, and I didn't die within five minutes playing by myself, lol. Going to have all my friends download it as well.
YOUR NOT TEARING ME APART NEWGROUNDS
Congrats Tom on getting the cast to play your game and Tommy wiseau enjoying the game!
I AM KUMQUAT_CLOCK HAHAHAH
I bought the film because of the game, Tom, and it's a treat to watch, even if the hilarity is unintentional. In the same way any publicity is good publicity, any kind of fanbase is a good fanbase, even if it's a fanbase of people who make fun of something you took seriously. Wiseau shows good spirit in showing up at the different screenings of the film.
Additionally, as I'm sure you knew, Wiseau wants to make an animated series based on The Room as well as a video game. He's already got the unofficial game here, maybe Newgrounds is just the place for Wiseau to try his hand at writing for an animation project. You should get in touch with him, Tom, as I'm sure there are animators on NG who would love to work on and see more from him. :)

The cast members who played Lisa and Denny have plugged the game on their pages and I hear Tommy Wiseau enjoyed it! That makes me the happiest of all, because I really really want him to like it.
Awesomesauce!

Wow, you're a devious bunch, you programmers. Whatever next, looking at facial expressions via people's webcams?

I imagine this will fluctuate up again but at this moment:

I had never even heard of the movie before Nostalgia Critic did a review, which Wiseu or someone affiliated with him or The Room threatened him to take it down. It didn't take a lot of searching to find his review uploaded somewhere else, and for the most part, I thought I was savvy about the movie.
Then the game came out, and I was like "lol! No way! hahaha" and played the hell out of it. Still can't find all that cannot be unseen, still haven't heard all of the recordings. Great job, you guys!
Oh hai, Tom!

Minor advantage: genious.
I love you guys, really hope y'all get the recognition you deserve in the media for the game!

I believe minors should not play the strong action, or some cool games that are circulating in Japan, I found it was not a good idea for young people
This game is so awesome. But the movie, the movie is such a low budget turd, disgrace for movie industry, yuck. The movie is not worth being related to this coolastic game.
lolol, i added some info abouty the game on the room's wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Room_%2 8film%29

looks like it's gone now... i never edited wikipedia before, but i do understand they wanted links that proved that cast-members plugged the game. i don't know why some fucking retard thought of what i wrote as advertising though, seriously, it was definitley not an advert... how the hell are you supposed to write about relevant stuff and link to it if what i wrote isn't allowed... now i can't even find the few lines written in any log or whatever. meh.

I liked the game and my opinion matters. I think my favorite part is seeing the delorean gone later in the game

Somehow you made a terrible movie turn into a game with terrible writing to fit... which I couldn't close until I finished! I don't know how you did it, but the formula you used really pulled through.

That's true, That Guy with the Glasses DID contribute to The Room's popularity. It's a shame Wiseau didn't take them very well even with Nostalgia Critic telling people to buy the DVD but at least he's happy with The Room game and the recognition it's getting is well deserved. Still, I'm weary about giving money to him for his DVD over what he did to the guys at That Guy with the Glasses.

yeah, i saw. im figuring out the whole edit wiki-thing lololol.
either way, it looks OK now. i guess that it was a bit overkill to add both jeff and o'neill as authors, as wikis are supposed to be easy to read. oh well, whatever.

lololol. are the wiki-fanboys/mods always like that? uh... good for them, i guess.... no harm in being thorough, but there's always that overkill-boarder that probably shouldn't be crossed... lewlz

And to think, I thought you saw some guy's review of the movie in the first place. But it's okay, I loved playing that game too and I don't mind if you wanted to show some love and appreciation to Tommy, as long as he's happy, I'm happy and we're all happy.
Thanks for the game, Tom!

I think so.. We were actually more thorough then them in the end. I'm totally cool with letting them fight over whats relevant or not.. I would think Phil's plug would be more worthy of mention than they're making it out to be. W/e it's staying up now. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Tom, whats up with you being in love with celebritys and actors and shit?
youre always parodying them (ex: kevin bacon)
remake of The Room based on The Room Game based on movie The Room
:)
Is it harder to answer or easier to try

That would be amazor.
As for the game and the stats...
Genuinely heart-warming. Especially considering the roller-coaster I'm sure the cast and Tom has experienced with the project. To have such a fun and interactive tribute (not just a slipshod schlock of a parody) was extremely creative and big-hearted.
I get happier everyday, that I've joined such an awesome community of artists (and programmers) :D
