I don't give a fuck how good Forever is, it can't possibly be worth the 13-year development time. Besides, Duke is so...90s. Not that he's made in the 90s, but he IS the 90s. He's past his time. I fear people playing it might not "get it".

I might check it out for kicks. I never got around PC gaming back in the 90s, so I'm quite indifferent on if it wins or fails.

I am glad it is finally back on its feet. I also would like to see "5 Vaporware of the Year" awards on the box as someone else has suggested at one point. With the gold lettering and everything. That would just be awesome. Haha. All in all I am very excited for its release. I personally don't think it can get any better than Duke Nukem 3D, but then I've been wrong before. I will be getting this game, because I like the idea of Duke. He is fucking awesome.

I'm sure it will be a solid shooter, but I'm keeping the perspective that the progress over twelve years isn't going to be cumulative. This isn't going to be a world-changing FPS. Hell, it's probably not going to be as prominent in the market as Duke 3D was back in the day. Something tells me that most people are going to judge this game on what it could have been or what they expected it to be rather than what it is.

I honestly can't blame them, to be honest. Yes I am going to buy it, yes I am going to play it, yes I might thoroughly enjoy it. But nobody, unless you live on a rock, is going to not judge it like that. Because whether this incarnation hasn't actually been worked on for 12 years or not, it still technically has had 12 years of development and that's what automatically comes to mind.

It baffles the mind how doesn't someone else makes a fan mod/game by themselves.
