how come stick people have changed to those easy things to draw when we were kids to the bloody killer they are like on stickpage it just kinda seems like a waste of talent to try to draw a detailed stick figure and then give them expressions weapons etc i dont have anything against stick videos im just wondering if anyone knows where this started

some of the stuff on stickpage. such as stick wars and castle series, have incredible graphics, not all is made by 5 year olds

Well, they can have extremely good graphics, but action movies just aren't very fun to watch if there's not some kind of story involved.

It's called effort. People prefer to look at something with effort put into it rather than a piece of turd with no time put into it.

Yeah, I remember watching the pool or something like that where a whole bunch of stickmen jump into a pool of pee. It was undetailed, but funny. Then a while later everyone knows how to animate sticks real well and we get the dragonball z-looking fighting style.

Most likely because if you look at flash here in general, it is all about blood and violence. I think that sticks work well with this because in terms of art, there is just so little you can do with a serious non-action short. I mean, who wants to see a cartoon where a stick figure just sits around and contemplates his romantic life? The designs are so cheesy that by nature, we would want to go and show how flexible they can show by making them do crazy things.

This. I remember in primary school we would go onto stickpage. Those were more inoccent times. Kinda.
