I just don't understand thread complaining. If you don't like it, don't read it. It reduces the number of rules on a forum that way. Rules are only made when whiny idiots start bitching about threads for no reason.

That also applies to real life. I don't care about what you think about what I just said.
I'm ignoring this thread.
Oh wait.
Jesus, no one cares about this horrible thread.

I agree somewhat, but surely you have to read the thread before deciding that you don't like it; topic titles are pretty vague most of the time.
Also, if every thread only had responds from people who liked it, General would be boring :)
Because if somebody is ever wrong on the internet, they must be scolded.
You look nice today.
This guy brutally sodomizes me.
Cereal is pretty cool. If you're cool you'll add me on Steam. Also, Letterboxd.

Not really. That makes the quality of the forum go down because it increases the rules and people are banned more often.

People padding their postcount. It's annoying but I just ignore them. If you post "I don't care" in a thread about cats, you're going to get banned. So I really don't have to worry about it.
whenever I see a six paragraph long thread starter, I ignore it usually because that's usually something to put on your blog.
So you sugest the moderators should ignore threads, and don't lock them anymore? It would be great.
1. They're retarded
2. They have their own opinions on the topic
Because alot of people were never payed attention to as a child and use this bbs to express themselves and basically say "Look at me!" you know.
Well when someone makes a thread, I'm sure one would suspect that there will be a boiling pot of people that answer it.
Some people will be normal and state their opinion while others may troll or spam your thread. I mean, every user when posting a thread should suspect it.
I respond to every message!
Not many users are like that, actually. Obviously lots of people do post about threads they don't like, but if someone doesn't post in it, you don't really hear about it now do you?
If I offer to help you in a post, PM me to get it. I often forget to revisit threads.

Exactly.
Because they just want more posts, I guess.

We all want that +1 deep down inside.
I'm not really sure, but i think that people just want to say what they thin because they have the right to do so

Actually, it's supposed to be a ban for not contributing anything to the topic, but it never happens. I'm not saying it should happen, but the mods CAN do that.
Think about it though, why are stat threads against the rules? What's wrong with posting stats? Well, really there's nothing. Do you honestly think the mods/admins got together one day and said, "Let's just randomly make stat threads against the BBS rules?" Nah. Of course they didn't. It's against the rules because people complained. Then, people complain about complaining people so that also became against the rules because they aren't contributing anything to a thread.
It's how this place works.
