Masks...hmmm....
Corey: Vol.3
Shawn: Iowa
Mick: Vol.3
Jim: Iowa
Chris: any (yeah, they are the same...something to be said for consistency)
Sid: Iowa
133: Slipknot
Paul: Iowa
Joey: Slipknot
I think Slipknot hit their peak during Iowa, both musically and artistically. While I appreciate the change of Vol. 3, I prefer the pure, raw aggression of Iowa. I also think that most of the masks from Vol. 3 don't resonate with the same kind of personality that they did on the earlier albums.

now that we are on masks.. I'd have to say
Corey - IOWA
Mick - Vol. 3
Sid - Slipknot
Clown/Shawn - IOWA pentagram one
James - IOWA
Joey - IOWA, Left Behind video
Chris - Vol. 3 red
Craig - Vol. 3
Paul - IOWA
theres my decision...
I've noticed as I am not regular on here this club seems to be slower...

corey - vol. 3
sid - vol. 3 (gotta love the skull)
james - iowa
mick - iowa/vol. 3 theyre like the same.
133 - vol. 3 or iowa. i like his new one cuz theres more spikes. and the iowa one because of the real nails and rust effect.
joey - iowa
paul - self titled pig, or iowa.
clown - iowa bloody mask. its probably one of the best masks of all the ones the bands used i think.

-I disagree. I think there peak was at Selftitled, as i've mentioned before. Iowa is better than Vol. 3, but I think Selftitled had much more thought put into it. They lyrics are nothing short of amazing, and the music itself speaks volumes. Selftitled is there best, and i honestly don't think they'll do any better.
Did I mention, I'm back, once again?? muhahaha!!! I stole nick's computer. I still don't know if i'm giving it back. I'm outta here Have fun kids

I agree, IOWA was awesome and Selftitled was the best, they were creative, raw, energetic, they were the epitomy of their own catagorie of Auditory Assault

well ive got stone sour news from slipknot metal,
SLIPKNOT/STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor has posted the following message at the STONE SOUR message board StoneSourBoard.tk:
"I'd like to give you a little update on the STONE SOUR front as we haven't done that in a long time.
1. We have 30 full and partial songs brewing at the moment.
2. Jamey from HATEBREED has expressed his interest in doing a song with us and most definitely will.
3. Plans are being made to start work in September of 2005, or perhaps even earlier, depending on the schedule.
"That's it for now.
"Thank you to everyone for keeping the fires lit while [guitarist] Jim [Root] and I indulge our other passion. Commitment has to be total, and at the moment our commitment is to the 'KNOT. But as soon as we're done touring with SLIPKNOT, it's on. I'm writing, Jim's writing, [guitarist] Josh [Rand] is writing, everyone is gearing up for this.
"Stay tuned."

Cool, as for Marktrock, the music sucked. But the people we're the best :D I mean there was this (FEMALE) friend that i haven't seen in a big while, and she came, screamd my name, started hugging and kissing me. I was like: Eh, are you drunk? But i didn't really said that ofcourse. And then this other girl started to hug me and she said: Are you ashamed of me? like 5 times. And i was like: No man, no....
God i love beer.

I've got an Idea....
Why doesn't everybody draw their member, using Flash, or Paint or w/e.. Then we vote on who's is best, then that one gets put on the Slipknotclub website?
What do you think of that?

7 is on the cover of this month's Metal Hammer magazine with Kerry King. The byline is "the most evil tour on earth". Gotta love it. I picked it up today at an import joint in Tokyo. Good reading. By the way, there's a good little comeback that their letters guy wrote to someone talking shit about Vol. 3: "The worst fan is the fan that will not allow their favorite bands to grow, and be free to do what they want to do. To evolve. In truth, they're not really fans at all."
As for the self-titled album being better than Iowa, I think you all are brain damaged. Okay, just kidding. But I feel that Iowa is technically superior, and the anger is so focused, it almost hurts. I get a lot more whipped up when I hear Iowa playing. Far more aggressive. But hey, the both kick ass, right?

agreed: vol 3 is still very good so, just because it has some softer songs doesn't means it bad... I rather think it's good, plus opium of the people, three nil, etc.. are still very loud songs
and I also think Iowa is better then the selftitled... not much, but still beter =)
